I read on a realgm post that was posted by a moderator that J-Rich got into it with a fan after the game and pushed him/her. anybody have any info on this? i really hope this isnt true, with s-jax maybe getting suspended for thursday we can NOT afford to have j-rich suspended as well.
for starters Jackson shouldn't have been kicked out the game, he was just clapping and then when he stopped the ref just tossed him.....did the fan get in J Richs face???
Here's Mark Stein's report: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Game 5 Incident Report by: Marc Stein posted: Wednesday, May 2, 2007 | Feedback | Print Entry filed under: Dallas Mavericks DALLAS -- It has to be the leading candidate for Best Game of Round 1: Dallas 118, Golden State 112. So what could spoil the mood heading into Thursday's massive Game 6? League discipline, of course. Here's hoping both teams are full strength Thursday for such an important one, but we've got a couple situations to monitor after Tuesday's roller-coaster Game 5 in Big D: • NBA observers in the building interviewed multiple spectators after the game about an alleged tangle between Golden State's Jason Richardson and a Mavs fan sitting across from the Dallas bench. Richardson fell after a shot and tempers appeared to flare when the Warriors' swingman felt he was being impeded as he tried to get up to rejoin the game. Because the Mavs' fan filed a report with NBA security, league officials are expected to review the incident. • Golden State's Stephen Jackson was kicked out with 8.9 seconds to play to make it two ejections for Jackson in the Warriors' two losses in this series. Jackson maintains he was unfairly expelled this time for clapping -- the same offense that got Baron Davis ejected from Game 2 -- but it remains to be seen whether the league plans to tack on a penalty in addition to Don Nelson's postgame vow to fine his primary Dirk Nowitzki defender "a substantial amount." NBA commissioner David Stern said Friday in Oakland, after Jackson was fined $50,000 for his first ejection and mostly for not leaving the court in a timely manner, that Jackson's past transgressions didn't factor into the punishment. "But the next one will," Stern added. PS -- Dallas' Jason Terry shoving Baron Davis near the Warriors' bench might get a look as well, since it received plenty of TV time after the game, but a few folks who have seen the replay (I haven't yet) insist there was a flop involved.</div> http://insider.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index...name=stein_marc
I call b.s. If Jrich gets suspended one game, I swear... the next game Josh Howard or Nowitzki dive into the stands, one of the fans ought to claim he/she got molested as the players were getting up and the players made a sexual remark. Dirk: "Hey sexy man, just trying to dive for some loose balls."
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Mercury News - Jason Richardson reportedly got tangled up with a fan late in Tuesday's game. He had taken a three-pointer from the left corner with 21.9 seconds left, and Dallas forward Dirk Nowitzki, contesting the attempt, collided with Richardson, sending him flying into the first row of fans. Some in the Dallas organization were saying the fan helped Richardson up, and Richardson responded by shoving and cursing at the fan. Richardson denied the situation happened that way but declined to otherwise comment, except to say, "Check the tape." According to the Mavericks, there was no videotape of the incident.</div> Source I think JR is in good shape. He said check the tape, Mavs say they don't have any tape of it (which has to be BS, everywhere near the court has a camera on it at all times I'm sure). J-Rich is a class guy and fans aren't supposed to touch the players, you can't blame Jason for being nervous when an unknown Dallas fan is grabbing at him while hes trying to play the game.
The refs in this series have been a joke. They have given everything to Dallas and the Mavs have gotten away with A LOT more. How does Jackson get ejected for clapping and nothing happens to Terry, or Devean George for sticking Pietrus in the face. I hope GS whoops Dallas tomorrow night.

Jackson was just raising his arms trying to get out without getting in anymore trouble. I am not surprised that such a situation with another Warriors player had happened after the game, after watching that. Dalls has been given more T's recently, though. I think the main difference is not the technicals that are being called but the ejections for the Warriors. There have been 3 ejections on the Warriors in which Jackson has gotten 2 or 3 unreasonable T's (one for sperating a mix up, and the two - or at least the ejecting one - from last night's game), and I suppose one of if not both of Baron's T's have been similar to what other Dallas players have gotten T's for as well... I don't know, I suppose the refs have gotten fed up with the arguing.
potentially bad news....J-Rich might be suspended. those punk ass Dallas fans are all banding together and saying he punched the guy with a closed fist. the league is supposed to make a decision regarding a suspension before 4:30 PM today. let's hope Jason gets to play.
