I was just wondering if you were the GM and you were thinking of the roster to keep next year for the Orlando Magic, who would be on it? Note: This is only current Magic players, who would you give up and who would you keep? Who would you dangle for trade bait, etc.

Keep:

Dwight Howard: No explanation needed!

Grant Hill:
Hopefully he'll come back next year and play a 6th man role.

Hedo Turkoglu:
I like the idea of Hedo coming off the bench too, starting him wouldn't be horrible either.

Jameer Nelson:
He's not the right starter for this team, although he would provide instant energy and offense off the bench.

Trevor Ariza: I want to keep him, he is still very young and will hopefully develop a jump shot, I'd love to see him starting on our team in the future.

Darko Milicic:
Did you see him in the playoffs?? He proved why we should resign him this off-season. Definitely keep.

Keyon Dooling: Solid bench player when he's not jacking up a ton of shots.

Tony Battie:
He is a good veteran for our young big men, Darko should be starting over him though, and probably will.

J.J. Redick: I'm hoping that he'll get more minutes as the games go on. I was pleased with him when he played, and I think he could be a great role player for us in the future. He is also part of our young core.

Keith Bogans: I'm not sure about Bogans. I don't know what his role on this team will be, I guess keep for now though.

Lose:

Carlos Arroyo: We already have two other shoot-first point guards in Dooling and Jameer. Arroyo was doing good early in the year, but has declined since then.

Travis Diener:
I liked him and wish we would've played him more, but it seems like he doesn't have a place on this team, and has said that he can see himself playing in another city.

Pat Garrity:
Turkey sandwich.

Bo Outlaw:
I liked his hustle when he played, but he is getting older and is not very effective for us anymore.

James Augustine: I have no idea about this guy...

This is how I break it down.....

Untouchable
Dwight Howard
Darko Milicic-If we don't resign Darko I'm going to kill someone.

Will be willing to trade for the right offer(Basically this means would only trade to get a proven PG or a proven scorer)
Hedo Turkoglu
Trevor Ariza

Dangle as trade bait to test the market, but if it doesn't work out, I'd love to have them back
Jameer Nelson
JJ Redick

Would like to have back to be a role player that won't fetch trade value

Keith Bogans
Keyon Dooling
Tony Battie
Grant Hill
Bo Outlaw- I just can't put Bo Outlaw in the get rid of category
Travis Diener-If he would like to come back, I would happily take him back. Maybe if we get rid of a PG we could give him some PT.

Get rid of
Carlos Arroyo
James Augustine
Pat Garrity

Keep

Pat Garrity - Hey, he's white! W-H-I-T......E!

Carlos Arroyo - Gotta love PG's that jack up needless shots to kill the momentum. Oh and he has Latino Heat!

Bo Outlaw - This guy should be the face of our franchise....along with a giant doobie.

Tony Battie - Only because it would be cool to hear the Batman theme when they announce the starting lineup.

James Augustine - Saw little to no time, and looked pretty confused when he did get in. Definite A+ in the eyes of Brian Hill.

The rest are up in the air to me.
