http://www.packers.com/news/stories/2006/07/30/1/ The story says that he doesn't want to play again....but he hasn't filed the retirement papers. I wonder if the Packers called him and asked him if he wanted to play again if he would. I personally think it would be cool not only to see him play with the Packers again, but for him to retire as a Packer.
I think it would be cool for him to retire as a Packer like Dorsey did but as much as I love Free I don't think he can play anymore. Was nice to have him back last time but even then he looked pretty much finished. He was never fast to begin with but I'll forever have a place for him.
I'll never forget Freeman's catch against the Vikings on Monday night...the one that rolled off his back. Wow... That was one of the best Monday night games ever. Unless you were a Vikings fan, that is...
I always thought Freeman was a tad overrated but he did make some crazy catches in his career. I don't think it would hur too bring him in.
I think that if they were going to do it though they should definately do it soon so he could at least have most of training camp and the preaseason games.
Free was never fast but some how made plays. Can't either forget the big td on an audible in the SB. He relly stepped up that year when others were going down
I'd rather see them bring in Gilbert Brown who is dying too be brought in than Freeman. Seems like TT won't sign any older vets too help the team. Perhaps his ego is getting the best of him. He comes across as someone who wants too discover the talent. I thought this off season was pretty good but now with injuries and someone like Brown offering to play for the league min, I think it wouldn't hurt to have an extra body.
I always loved big Gilbert too. The great thing abounyt him is even if he isn't fit all he has to do is stand there and people don't run up the middle. Did anyone catch him in one of the last SI issues on Wher Are They Now?

I know he's probably out of shape, but he's got to be younger and in better shape than the Gravedigger. I wonder if Ted Thompson has even had the SLIGHTEST conversation with Jackson about what he might want. Putting Jackson in the middle next to Pickett this year would have been huge (pun intended).
Freeman was a very good receiver, of course Favre made both him and Schroader look better than they were. It still would be cool to see him retire in the green and Gold though.

Jackson also won't resign with the Packers, unless they give him more money than Ryan Pickett. That is a quote. On a side note, Kendrick Allen has moved into the starting lineup and has impressed early.
OUr Tackle rotation is to be feared this year, and KGB is said to be bulking up if he can stay at around 250+ perhaps he can be more consistent against the run.
The only thing to be feared in Green Bay is the Detroit Lions when they roll into town to beat up your beloved Packers
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (manofsteel)</div><div class='quotemain'>The only thing to be feared in Green Bay is the Detroit Lions when they roll into town to beat up your beloved Packers</div> The Lions won't win anything. they're on the verge of cutting Mike Williams. Charles Rogers is a bust now and is demoted to thrid string. They're still weak up front. They're Defense is running a new scheme. They're offense doesn't have the right players too run the scheme and they're starting a QB who is nothing more than a backup. The Lions are a ways away from rolling into any town and beating up on any team.
Look is the Steelers fan back to run his mouth with out backing it up! Care to make a bet about that? I bet you a signature the Packers beat the Lions in Greenbay this year. If I win, you have to write this in your signature "The Packers are the greatest team ever, and Samkon Gado is A much greater back than Willi Parker" If I lose I'll write what ever you want me to write in my signature, do we have a bet?
The Lions are a funny bunch. They earn so much sympathy that I can't even be bothered by them. I almost wish they would win the division once just so we see why they're even around. Otherwise they just seem to be here to make it a well rounded 32 team league

Are you kidding me? You do realize the Super Bowl Trophy is named after a Packer coach? The Steelers were formed way back in 1933 and only played (and lost) in one playoff game before 1972. One playoff game in 39 YEARS and you call the Packers a joke? I like the Steelers and I believe Steeler fans have a lot to be proud of since 1972, but if you really think the Packers are a joke, then you just don't know football. The Lions are a joke. The Cardinals are a joke. The Saints are the football manifestation of a slapstick comedy. However, the Packers are one of the cornerstone franchises of the NFL.
Isnt that the idea of a bet?? I have to say something I hate to say because I dont believe it's true? And if he loses he has to do the same? Am I missing something?
