<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Throughout his career, 50 Cent has stood toe to toe with a number of rappers during various battles. But now, the G-Unit leader has a new opponent in the form of a Christian group that wants him to stop wearing his diamond-covered cross. The Resistance, a nationwide Christian organization focused on preserving Christian values in the media, is taking issue with 50 Cent for wearing the large cross as a fashion statement. For the organization's founder Mark Dice, the cross contradicts what the rapper is saying in his music. “50 Cent is no Christian, and if you listen to his lyrics it becomes clear that he is more of a Satanist than anything” said Dice, who offered what he feels is a better choice for 50 to wear. “He is defaming the cross and committing blasphemy by wearing it while he raps about killing people for no reason because he’s a big bad ‘gangster.’ I think a large diamond studded platinum satanic pentagram would be a little more fitting for him” Dice said. 50 Cent's cross has been noticeably visible in photos, as well as concert performances and the album covers for his releases Guess Who's Back, Get Rich or Die Tryin' and The Massacre. "We aren't aware of this absurd request," Violator CEO/50 Cent's manager Chris Lighty told AllHipHop.com. "They should look up our charitable deeds before casting a stone. This is entertainment and no one is forcing them to listen to the music or watch any of the videos. It's an individual choice." 50 Cent is the latest entertainer to draw criticism from The Resistance. In 2005, the organization labeled pop singer Jessica Simpson a “singing stripper” and called for MTV to pull the video for her song "These Boots are Made for Walking." Most recently, The Resistance has been in the news for urging Duke University to change the name of their sports teams from the Blue Devils to something not offensive to the Christian community.</div> Source I thought it was a bit funny. Oh and the Duke situation is really retarded...
One reason why I stay away from religion. These morons force us to deep throat their beliefs and everything has to be suitable for them. Don't get me wrong, I believe in God, but some people take it too far.

Who gives a damn what 50 wears anyway? What a waste of time.
they say 50 cent shouldnt wear a cross because he is not a christian. if that is their argument then i say no one is a christian. anyway why do christians even wear the cross, its not like it represents something good in the life of their "savior".

A lot of Christians wear crosses around their necks. Do you think when Jesus comes back he ever wants to see a fuckin' cross? It's kind of like going up to Jackie Onassis with a rifle pendant on. - Bill Hicks
The funny thing is that the bible says dont make any images of christ. But most catholics have pictures and statues of jesus in church and in their homes. And whats a chain without the jesus piece?
I hope everyone doesn't take my sig/avy too seriously... <div class="quote_poster">Sasha Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Exactly. A lot of Christians wear crosses around their necks. I don't think Jesus would get pissed if he saw a cross either, he wasn't just any normal fellow. It's not that simple but I understand your objections to it. <div class="quote_poster">michiganave17 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">The funny thing is that the bible says dont make any images of christ. I recall that the Catholic church wasted 375 million dollars just on paint for some brand new mega-church. I don't like how they use money and resources.
Its definitely disrespect. How do you feel when you see a punk kid wearing a headband that doesn't even play basketball. Of course its none of your business but it still makes you mad to see a poser or a "hypocrite". I can see why their mad, although I don't think they should be worrying about what Fiddys wearing when there is bigger problems. But I don't understand the whole Duke thing thats a little outrageous.
Blue Devil actually has something to do with a war, I believe. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">During World War I the Chasseurs Alpins, nicknamed "les Diables Bleus," were well known French soldiers. They first gained attention when their unique training and alpine knowledge was counted upon to break the stalemate of trench warfare in their native region of the French Alps. Unfortunately the Vosges Campaign in March, 1915, failed to alter the status quo even though the Blue Devils won accolades for their courage. However, their distinctive blue uniform with flowing cape and jaunty beret captured public imagination. When the United States entered the war, units of the French Blue Devils toured the country helping raise money in the war effort. Irving Berlin captured their spirit in song describing them as "strong and active, most attractive . . . those Devils, the Blue Devils of France. </div>
absurd, i hate 50 cent but this is a joke, every person should have the right to show off their fate, just because he raps baout killing poeple to make money doesn't mean he doesnt believe in god/jesus. i believe in god deeply, i know a lot about the christian relgion, i wear a jesus chain, but i dont go to church because i feel that no one should tell you how to believe in your religion and that your relationship with god is just with god, i hate all these organizatinos and priests getting on people like this
