If the Suns did decide to blow it up and deal Marion, Amare or both, the last team they'd help out is the Lakers.

The Lakers option for acquiring a top 15 talent, is for that player to demand to be traded to LA.

According to Steven A. Smith on ESPn"

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">
    Steven A. said...

Kobe is REALLY mad at the front office.

When he re-signed, he was promised a winner would be built.

He wanted Diddy, but the front office couldn't get it done.

He wanted Boozer, but the front office couldn't get it done.

    He wanted Artest...

    He wanted Kidd...

And when they decided to trade his best friend on the team, Caron, for Kwame, the front office didn't inform Kobe about it until after the trade had been made.

He said that Kobe just wants to be on a contending team - weather that's in LA or someplace else. And with the way things have been going, he wants to win more than he wants to be in LA.

If the FO doesn't get something significant done this summer, look for Kobe to ask to be traded.

I'm kinda paraphrasing, but that's the most of it.</div>

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Stephen Jackson:</div><div class="quote_post">
"I talked to him a while back, and he was saying that if he did get traded he would want to go to those two teams," Jackson said. "Isiah and Jermaine are good friends. If it does happen, look out East. Him and (Eddy) Curry in the paint are going to be a monster. But him and Kobe will be a monster, too."</div>

Interesting points by Stephen A. Smith. I kind of felt Kobe was keeping his cool through the media. I felt that Kobe was way more livid than he was expressing and Stephen A. just confirmed my suspicions even more. All the pressure is on the FO to make some moves, they haven't felt the heat like this before.

As for Stephen Jackson, I fully believe him. Jermaine and he are great friends. I don't see Bird dealing Jermaine in the East, if he does, definitely not to Isiah. They hate each other from what I've heard. I think Indy would want to package Tinsley in a deal. If we could rip off Indy in a deal with both Odom and Bynum for Jermaine and Tinsley plus whatever fillers will make it work, I think I'd be down for it.

    Walton
    Turiaf
    O'neal

The front office has lead Kobe down so much. It's only right they trade for a superstar this offseason...

I have a question about all this trade buisness and signing people. When can all this officially be done and when do you guys think the Lakers will make a deal for a sign or a trade? I know it is into the summer, but like what is the official date to make deals.

The only problem is that Indy are probably feeling that they got ripped off in the GS deal so they're likely to be over cautious when it comes to future trading, that aside I would love to see JO in an LA uniform and tinsley would be a great improvement on Smush at the PG.

Yeah, I think Indy's going to be really hesitant to make any trades because of that deal with Golden State. I could see them pushing for Odom, Bynum, and Walton in a deal for Jermaine.

I'm guessing it's after the last day of the playoffs because I remember Suns traded QRich to NYK for Kurt Thomas instantly after the last game.

That was during the draft, because they included the Nate Robinson pick. I don't think teams can make trades before the draft.

I think the Lakers are going to get O'neal because i don't think Indiana wants to trade O'neal to the the east and are going to target the lakers and ask for Odom and Bynum for O'neal. Which i hope will happen. While Minnesota does not want to trade Garnett to a team in the west.

This Lakers organization is stupid when Shaq left. They want to get to an elite level and yet they don't want to give up Lamar Odom and Andrew Bynum. Yeah go figure, lets trade our crap players for JO and KG, Bull****

Zoinks! If Jim Buss is saying this, then I fully expect some trades. He was the one who wanted to hold onto Bynum and Odom. He's now claiming them untouchable!

I'm not surpised, what do you expect? After 3 years of experience and still at ground zero, of course there are going to be major change. The question is how are we going to do it without giving up Odom/Bynum, the two most valueable trade asset? I assumed he got a plan to get JO by trading Odom/Vlad/1st round pick and Brown/Cook for Ron Artest.

are you insane, ron artest? the guy who just got sentinced to jail? why would lakers, infact why would anyone want artest? he is the last player the lakers want he would do more damage to our team then smush would do if he took kobe's spot. we do not want ron ron. thats a death wish, why did you even think of that, do you know that he beats his wife, that he beats up fans in the stands, he breaks tv sets, fights other players etc etc etc, he is a beat, and not in a good way. stupid.

We should send a package for tinsley and oneal sign magloire, blake or m.williams, trade our other unwanted peices for some good defenders and rebounders, that would make the focus of our offense kobe, the oneal, then magloire/tinsley. tinsley is a great passer and not that bad at defense. all the rest of the sqaud fills in on D and gets all our rebounds that lead to our fast break of tinsley, kobe and walton, all good at scoring, all can run and most of all, are all great at passing. we will be a balanced team. one that can break it down into the triangle and feed it inside to the bigs (therefore giving kobe more room when he has the ball) and kick it out to tinsley or walton for the three, plus we can get the defensive rebound with our big defenders like oneal and magloire, kick it to tinsley and there is our showtime, imagine it, and this is all realistic, much better than just getting garnett and a couple scrubs. we'll have depth in our roster again and we wont be so tired and slow when we play, mitch and jim need to make these moves.

If we could put a package together to get Tinsley and O'neal with Odom and Bynum, and then use our MLE on Maagloire, I'd be excited. Put together a nice little offer for Brendan Haywood...possibly.

    Tinsley/Farmar
    Kobe/Evans
    Walton
    Jermaine/Turiaf
    Maagloire/Haywood

we would need to find a good backup sf, because its just nessicary, walton cant be doing it all on his own. i say we trade our picks and vujacic or someone, for a good defensive SF, for some reason i really like quentin ross, he can really defnd and is quite athletic. but i thonk we could get better with our first round, our second round and vujacic. any suggestions on who would fit well?

Lol, Tinsley would wreck the team chemistry even more, and I think Kobe knocks him out before the All-Star Break. Magloire or Haywood for the MLE??? That's wishful thinking, man, really wishful thinking. I want some of that purple and gold Kool-Aid you're drinking.

You full well know that if anyone is near 7" and available that Isiah Thomas is going to find a way to pay an absurd amount to set the Knicks back 10,000 years.

so what if ron ron is trouble i think zen master can handle him, just like he managed to handle the worm!!! I would trade kwame for artest, and then somehow try to get pau gasol, without trading odom!!! If memphis gets the number one pick they will probable select oden, and then we can trade Bynum Vladi and pieces for gasol!!!![IMG] [IMG]

    We will never get KG!!!

Its going to be too tuff to make a great trade IMO. the best time to trade was last summer - mid this season. The problem is the trade value of everyone besides Kobe and Turiaf have dropped trumendously. Management can say they are gonna make big changes; but barring a miracle your not gonna get much for Odem or walton. Bynum will leave this season because he is the most valuable trading peice.

P.S. what if the lakers got Baron davis when they had a shot?.......WoW!
