Lakers should get Ron Artest because all the Kings want from Lakers is some guy called KWAME BROWN. Who in my opinion was just a bad center and so what if he has problem i think Phil Jackson could handle him.

That's just an idea written by a journalist. There is no proof that the Kings just want Kwame Brown. They can get so much better for Artest, even though he's a headache.

Can odem be traded this summer? hes having a surgury scheduled this week. its the same surgury that took him 4 months to recover from. It could even take longer this time around.

I heard last night on the radio, this surgery isn't as involved, because it's a minor labrum tear this time. They speculated he'd be out for only 6 to 8 weeks.

Just messing around with some scenarios here:

    Bynum/Odom/Brown for O'Neal/Dunleavy
    Bynum/Odom/Brown for Kidd/Collins
    Bynum/Odom/Brown for Garnett

I think since LA is willing to give up Bynum, they can finally work out a good trade this summer.

Guys please! if Ron Artest didn't have off-court issue, how the heck are we going to acquire him through trade without giving up LO/Bynum? C'com give me a break, take a risk on the Ron Artest if Joe Maloff happens to proposes a deal which I highly doubt. You don't pass on a talented player like Ron Arest man..

I agree, we only need this guy, if we don't get JO or KG. But even if we do get one of them, I still say we should go after him, if he comes cheap. I agree as Brian said earlier, Phil can probably tame Artest.

In the meantime fans clamor for answers that even Laker owner Dr. Jerry Buss can't give.

Recently the idea of trading for either Jermaine O'Neal or Pau Gasol has been discussed in this space. The idea being that the Lakers' best trade bait is the young Andrew Bynum whose prime is not likely to coincide with Kobe Bryant's.</div>

Not the most reliable source, but there is some fact in there (specifically the AM570 reports).

You know I think most of his problem is he didn't have a coach that he respected. Phil Jackson is the right guy for his behavior. And stop with the pipe dream, think realistically, I rather have Kobe/LO/Artest/Bynum than Kobe/JO/Kwame or Kobe/KG/Scrubs combo

But we still need *a* center... Trading away three big guys for one PF would only make the team catastrophically worse, unless some lesser big men can be signed.

It wouldn't work financially. They would have to throw Kwame's contract in to make the trade work. Plus, you could just draft Spencer Hawes or Marc Gasol to go along with Chris Mihm.

If that was how he was feeling 2 years ago, take that feeling and times it by 20, and you'll probably get what he's currently feeling
