More like, how lucky would WE be if he had been able to buy the team this year. [IMG] With Cohan, we won't know if we'll be an 8th seed this year or a team like the Clippers this year by next year or the Sonics of a couple years ago where they made an 8th seed appearance and never returned. We need an owner who will draw the line on guys like Dun, Murph, Foyle, and Fisher before that ever happens. Of course it's all in hindsight since we got SJax! Yeah!

I'm hoping the Warriors add more guys to make up for a 40 game a year Baron Davis if that happens. Jeez... that scary to think about. If our MVP goes down, the We Believe slogans can't save us. We'd need two Sjax's to operate like how all the other tall passing, rebounding, shooting guards operate like Joe Johnson, Lebron James, or T-mac or somebody.

If it weren't for this series, I'm sure Warriors would be all for getting Cuban as an owner compared to Cohan. Cohan was lucky that Mullin was lucky in bringing Nelly out of retirement and replacing the former coach who didn't know the ropes of the nba (especially with trade/GM influence). Cohan was lucky that the one coach that last brought the Warriors to the playoffs that he fired long ago, wanted to come back and help out an old friend he used to coach, who is now a Warriors GM struggling for direction (in which this time wasn't related to alcohol problems, but bad general management decisions madein 2004 and 2005)

Of course with Cuban, we might have to deal with his rich owner/fan type ego, him scoopin' Dairy Queen, and some bad reality televisoin shows... With Cohan, we just have to deal with his "sweater tied around the neck" wearing arse, hiding all the time whenever his hired personnel does something stupid to embarass him. [IMG] Like Foyle for 9-10 mil a year as first free agent that wasn't coming off a rookie scale contract.

It's not just than the eyes of national writers and fans have been opened, but all the rest of the players as well. How can you look at that as a player and not say to yourself "I want to play there."? In the past the Warriors have had almost no chance of attracting superstar or even all-star talent. Maybe that'll change now.

I'd have to go along with that. What would be sweet is Cohan finally selling the Warriors thinking it won't be worth any higher after this to Larry Ellison and bringing in Sam Cassell to back up Baron next season and possible future head coach. Also, I wouldn't mind drafting Acie Law as young backup to be groomed as future Warriors PG.

I didn't expect it, but everyone's talking about the Warriors and have them on the front pages of many newspapers' sports section, lot of NBA writers and analysts are eating crow, and the heavily favored Dallas Mavericks with their league MVP are eating crow. I hope we can keep the magic of the Oracle Arena crowd as that's the greatest atmosphere in sports that I have ever experienced and I've gone to other NBA playoffs games and World Series and playoffs in baseball as a SF-Bay Area sports fan.

    Thanks for fixing the link.

Here's another good one by Kerr:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Oracle Arena crowd was the best I have ever seen in the NBA. In 15 years of playing and four years as a commentator, I have never, ever seen 20,000 fans standing as one for an entire second half. That's what Golden State's fans did in Game 6, and it was amazing to witness. The Mavs seemed to be in good shape starting the third quarter, with Davis hurting and the pace of the game in their favor. But the Warriors' crowd was so rowdy, so loud, that Dallas never looked comfortable on the floor. The momentum swung Golden State's way as soon as Jackson started making threes, and the crowd took it from there.</div>

This is a monumental statement that is true. Not even in all of the NBA Finals was there a crowd like the one we saw last night. The best thing about it? It gets louder and rowdier each following game.

I just hope that now that the Warriors are the talk of the town that the fan base doesn't get watered down by fans that claimed they were always down with the Warriors.

I dunno... I guess I'm a weird hardcore fan. I loved the Warriors with a passion, but I never wore Warriors memorabilia unless somebody else bought it for me. Same thing goes with going to live games. I never paid for my own ticket because somebody has to lure me to go with them. LOL. I ain't cheap, I just don't like Cohan and I'm still actively boycotting him. Maybe it's time to end the boycott and actually see a playoff game. It's what I/we've been waiting for all these years. TV ain't the same as going to the game and giving other fans high fives and cheering with them.

Of course, I do remember, some guy getting upset at the arena because I basically crapped on Dunleavy the entire game even though he had a decent game that game. Oh and I complained about Foyle relentlessly to my friend.

You can't go to a game now. You'd be letting Cohan win. Could almost call you bandwagoner then.

I'm just kidding. Besides Cohan's not so bad.
