<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Lawrence Frank wanted Vince Carter to make "the right play" at the end of the Nets' 98-96 loss to the Raptors in Game 5 Tuesday night in Toronto. Whether that play was making a pass - which Carter did - or taking a shot did not matter to the Nets coach. However, Carter has come under some criticism for passing the ball to Bostjan Nachbar instead of taking it upon himself to fire up the potentially game-winning shot. Nachbar's three-point attempt hit the front of the rim as the buzzer sounded, allowing Toronto to survive in the best-of-seven series that the Nets now lead, 3-2. Carter, who scored 30 points against his former team, had the ball in his hands as the clock ticked down. As Carter worked his way toward the hoop, several defenders converged around him. Nachbar was wide open. "Vince made the exact right play," Frank said.</div> Source: NY Daily News
Well he did make the right play. Yea Nachbar was 0-6 on threes, bur Carter had 3-4 guys on him. He had to pass it out, or else he might have not even got it off.
everyone on NBA TV and ESPN agrees it was the right play. Imagine how mad we would be if he took a shot....vince would get murdered, lol.
