Good start to the offseason for the Magic, now you need to put some players around him so he can be successful and not want to leave.
It might be tough to sign a talented team if Dwight is making that type of money. Hopefully Nelson and Darko can pan out to be higher end players at their positions. I think they both have very bright futures.
This was a great move, I really do admire Dwight Howard, I think in a couple of seasons time, he will be the most dominant player in the league. This team needs to build around Dwight / Darko, they'll be one of the better front courts in the league for years to come.
Good for Dwight... But if i were the magic or any other NBA team... Id offer my star player a bit less than the Max, say 70M compared to the 80 they offered... id try to get him for as cheap as i can and for how much he deserves during the negotioation coz every penny in the NBA is impt, coz that extra 2M a year could come in handy when signing a role player...

With the way the Magic are at losing franchise players, I don't blame them for giving him the max one bit. It was the smart decision. Now that we only have 1 player making big money(until we give Darko a good deal), our cap really isn't that bad.

Plenty of teams would die to have a superstar like Dwight down low for the next decade so it's important that we give him as much as he's worth.
