<div class="quote_poster">lakersfan171 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I don't no why people hate him and want to see him go. I think the lakers should have paid more to Smush he was A STARTING PG and some guy like Radmanovic gets pay more than him and doesn't even play come on. I hope Smush finds a good team that will treat him right and pay him decent.Remember Smush did steal the ball from Nash that Game 4 when Lakers whene up 3-1.</div>

So what if Smush made a crucial steal. Kareem Rush scored 18 points against Minnesota in playoffs, 6-7 from three-point land. Many of those basket came in the clutch as well. Where is he now? Recently released by the Bobcats, and now out of the league.

Radmanovic didn?t play at all this season because he was basically injured the whole time. Radmanovic, unlike Smush, has already proven to be an NBA caliber player. Smush hasn?t. Hence how he?s bounced around the league and overseas.

Smush is the same guy that doesn?t even try to play a lick of defense. Smush Parker signed a contract, and there?s nothing he, or the management can do about it. This isn?t the NFL. The Laker?s management cannot go over to Smush and give him and give him an automatic salary raise. You get what you signed for, and at the time, Smush was nothing more than just a Summer League after thought. His energy and determination was ultimately what got him the job on the roster. Smush played great for the first half of last season, ever since then, he?s gotten worse and worse. His attitude has gotten worse and worse. At times, the guy doesn?t even seem like he?s trying out there.

He can?t play defense to save his life, he can?t stay in front of his man to save his life. Even 50 year old Aaron McKie played better defense than Smush when given the opportunity. This is Aaron McKie we?re talking about! An NBA Senior Citizen. What bothers me most about Smush?s attitude is his lack of motivation. The guy is in his contract year. If anything, he should?ve gone out and played his guts out for the big payday (Tim Thomas?). Instead, the guy doesn?t even seem to try, or even care on court. He didn?t even give any effort on defense for the entire season.

You hope a team treats him right by giving him a decent contract? How about Smush treating the Laker?s organization right. The same organization that gave him a chance to play in the NBA when he?s basically been living overseas. The guy walks around with a huge ego, thinking the management OWES him something. The management doesn?t owe him anything. Smush owes it to the management to come out and play hard each and every minute. Maybe then, he will get the big payday he?s been hoping for.

Let?s not fool ourselves. Smush was a nice surprise early on last season, but ever since then, he?s been nothing but crap. I?m glad he?s gone. Smush as a starting point guard is a joke and an embarrassment to the franchise

Thinking about it i do think smush owes the Lakers he had the starting line up and didn't try to play a little better. Hope he has a good future in the D-league.
