Well, our 06-07 season concludes to an end. Mistakes were made, emotions were high, but all we can do now is look forward. Where do you guys think we should go from here?

Buy out J-Ho if we can't get anything useful in a trade.

We should have traded him for Mike James when we had the chance.

Look to the draft to get either a power forward or a point guard, then turn to free agency and try to plug the other hole that we didn't fill in the draft. I think we should still try to stick with McGrady and Yao, and just look to get some more additions. If we can land just one more piece who could contribute, I think it would vault us into a top 4 spot in the West.

I believe we only have one, first round (thank god) pick in this year's draft. However this draft class is probally one of the deepest in years. IF we can, I think we should trade up as high as we can to get a someone solid.

There is no reason to trade Yao or T-Mac. All you guys need is a good point guard to make smart decisions like Billups or go for Rashard Lewis.

PG is our most pressing need. We should pray that Spanoulis and Novak become good players. We need a better PF -- Chuck and Juwan have their positive qualities, but clearly we need more from that position. I wanted Snyder to have a bigger role on the team than he did; hopefully that happens next year. Basically, our role players need to be less dependent on the big two to get themselves shots.

As for our stars -- firstly, anyone saying we should trade Yao or Tray is clueless. That's not happening. Yao needs to continue to improve. He took a step backwards in the playoffs in my opinion. McGrady needs to look to attack the basket more. He showed he was capable of doing that in the third quarter, but he couldn't sustain that aggressive mentality for whatever reason.

Good luck getting JVG to him some PT(If he's still here), Sloan ran an 8 man rotation up our butt and Nachbar is playing some good ball in NJ. I think besides being limited in offensive creativity JVG lacks the ability to make good player development moves.

First off, any smart man knows we should rightfully terminate JVG's contract. His style of play is outdated, slow, and painful to watch. I like Chuck Hayes but starting him was a mistake. I underestimated his heart, but he's not a starter in the NBA. Rafer's too erratic for us and also shouldn't be starting. Mutumbo shoud retire in a Rocket uniform, which is good for both parties. Juwan should be on the trading block, that's obvious. The players I'd like to stay here outside of Tmac & Yao are Luther and Battier. Our needs have been the same since JVG took over the team.............

    -A reliable point guard (w/size)

    -Athletic wings

-Athletic PF's, who like to BANG.

I truly believe we have the right core. But we need to find ways to score without depending on Tmac and Yao.

    Keepers:
Mac - You can't get much for a veteran super-star these days.
Yao - He will be 27 and in his prime. He will continue to work on his game.
Battier - When I think of what we gave up for him, it's hard to trade this guy.
Head - He is our best prospect.
Alston - He is a good backup PG
Hayes - He is a good backup PF

Keep, unless a good offer comes up:
Snder - Look what little it took for us to get him, he isn't really worth much.
Novak - Wont get anything better for him. Plus he may end up with a starting/backup role in the future.
    Spanoulis - Read above.
Lucas - What could we even get for him? Buy him out if we need the roster spot.

Trade, or get rid of any way possible:
    Howard - Washed up
Tsak - We need an athletic backup center to guard the quicker teams big man.
Deke - It's good that he retires as a Rocket
Sura - Use him in a package to make a trade work.

Bonzi - Try to sign him with the LLE, we are getting a new coach so...

    Rafer/Starting-Backup PG/Span
    T-Mac/Head/Snyder
    Battier/Athletic Wing/Snyder
Hayes/Starting-Backup PF who can hit the open Jumper/Novak
    Yao/Athletic Rebounding Shotblocking Banger

Trade Battier and Sura to Seattle if they S&T Rashard Lewis?

we need to get a better pg, then move rafer's shot missing ass on the bench.

And aint Rashard Lewis on the free agent market? we should go for him, trade Bonzi with some other players for him and put Lewis at the 4.

which is exactly why trading him should be an option this offseason...tmac has all of the talent to be the best player in the league if he wanted to...he's got the moves, the passing ability, the length, etc., but the guy just refuses to take it to the basket...

I say we go after Billups or Bibby in the offseason..

YES YES YES! I feel you man. I wanted Bibby so bad. We need a REAL point guard who can tell T-Mac .. "layoff, point guard is my duty" and run the offense and deliver the ball to Tmac instead of Tmac trying to create his own shot. A point guard who can get the ball to Shane for the 3 ... instead of T-Mac doing EVERYTHING.

What's Bibby's status? If we bring in Adelman, I think Bibby would be more receptive to coming here. I've said all year long that Skip is too inconsistent.

Bibby might come for the MLE and like Rock4Life said he used to play for Adleman so maybe that will be a lil incentive.....

I've been a fan of bibby since his days with Miles Simon at Arizona....dude has guts, can shoot, create his own shot, and he's not afraid to take or make the big shot, and he's hungry for a title....bring in Rick and Mike Bibby......make it happen.

Yea....Definatley a good idea. Also, keep in mind that Bibby played his best ball under Adelman. Even tho Locke doesn't approve of Adelman

Steve Blake and Mikey Moore are both FA I think.
Rockets need a real good run at one of them.
