With the Rockets getting outcoached another playoff series, we all saw this coming. JVG is dead fish in the water. Besides that, who would you guys like too see coach our team into the future. Personally, I'd like to see Larry Brown! But Rick Adelman is also a exciting prospect, especially being he knows his offense[IMG] What I DON'T wanna see is us bringing in some no name coach with "potential", somebody's damn assistant or something[IMG] One thing is for sure, EVERY coach in the league will be looking to rebuild this team. All the pieces are there!

    Call Rick Carlisle.

If not, Adelman...I don't really want Larry Brown.

Rick Carlisle and JVG are too similar. I'd like to see either a coach with a championship, or somebody who's ran a efficient offense before. I don't think I can stand another strictly "slow it down" type coach lol

We need to slow it down in order to include Yao in the offense.

If Carlisle can take 1 star and a bunch of mediocre role players to the finals, imagine what he could do with two stars and some great role players.

He wins games, even with an injured roster.

Yea Carlisle got Indiana far with nothing much on the roster (conference finals in 03-04?). But then again its the east...

When the season ended, I saw a lot of you mentioning JVG for coach of the year...... now he needs to get fired because they lost to the Jazz?

Well, that's fickle fans for ya... but honestly, I didnt think (and I didnt see many here who thought so) that JVG was a serious COY candidate, I was always a little surprised when the media mentioned him as a top candidate. I actually like JVG, but think that we'd benefit from a more... versatile coach.

Um... let me get you up to date..........he's stepping down for whatever reason. Allegedly he had made his mind up even before the playoffs started.

I know you tried to be funny here, but what you said is actually true...Adleman could probably really utilize Yao's passing skills..........

What type of a coach do yall think we need?

A high offense coach who can make us good shooters.

    -OR-

A high defense coach who plays halfcourt basketball.

we must obtain our defensive play but become more creative and efficient on the offensive end.

Good question. This is something I've been askin myself. I think somewhere in the middle. We already have the components to a good defensive team. We just to need to balance it out on offense. I think Adelman would be a great addition..
