Steve Hartman has said that the Lakers are going to announce a front office shake up around 7 PM. Probably nothing big, or I think it would've leaked by now. Although, I'd love for Mitch to announce he's stepping down!

This is such a joke. They called a press conference to announce that Jim Buss is going to take over as owner once Jerry retires...this organization is doing anything to get something positive into the media right now.
Although it would be good not to have Mitch any more, my question is, is Jim Buss any better? I mean, he is obviously hired because of his blood connections to Jerry Buss more than anything else... And was it Jim Buss that pushed for Bynum's signing?
Jim Buss has blocked most of Mitch's moves. He's blocked us dealing for Kidd, he's blocked us dealing for Boozer, he's blocked us dealing for Artest. He's got an obsession with Odom, he doesn't want to see him leave.
