Clever. Kobe's really coming out with stuff to the media this offseason, I'm absolutely loving his full court press for changes.
Ever since the season ended Kobe the diplomat has completely disappeared and now he's just getting his digs in which for once he's not being given crap for. Funny stuff
kobe is tired of this team, you can tell by the way is talking about his teammates. i think if he still cannot get past the 2nd round in 3 years he and the lakers should call it a day and go their seperate ways. kobe will be about 32 or 33 then, nearing the end strech of his NBA career and if he really cares about getting a championship as much as he does now then i think he'll be out of here. This is unlikely because i beleive that we can get some good players around him to take us deep into the playoffs, but it needs the right kind of players for this team to win. look at when KG had that mvp season, they went to the WCF i beleive, he didnt have a spectacular group of guys around him, but he had the right group of guys to get those wins in the playoffs. a veteran point gaurd who knows his stuff, a tough scoring shooting gaurd, and a bunch of defensive minded role players who can together grab a whole lot of rebounds; this was the right fit for KG. but the question im asking is what is the right fit for kobe? i dont think its another star in the backcourt, its a strong inside pressence that will cause trouble for opposing teams struggling to defend the power inside aswell as the outside. this is basically what we had when shaq was here, and look how well we did with that type of lineup. the rest of the roster were all average role players who could get the rebounds, play some D, and most importantly pass the ball well!. This is what this team lacks, defense, rebounding and good passing skills; combine those three with the best player in the game and a reasonable force on the block and you have a chapionship trophy in your hands. Who do you guys beleive is the best fit for this team right now that can get us to this point?
Well we definetly need a scoring inside precence who can also rebound and defend. The no-names in this league simply do not cut it, which is why the Lakers must do everything they are capable of to aquire someone like KG, JO or even Gasol. Like AKIRA said, we need guys who can pass the ball, guys that are unselfish. And they need to defend good. So I'm not really sure that the Lakers can fill all the positions that they need, this off season or even the next.
<div class="quote_poster">AKIRA Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">kobe is tired of this team, you can tell by the way is talking about his teammates. </div> I don't blame him either, especially after reading Kevin Ding's article about which players on the roster really care. He listed only 4 out of 15 players who were actually concerned about winning. When only 25% of your teammates are bringing it, then it's time to retool and weed out the players caught up in the NBA lifestyle, but not the NBA game.
The Bermuda Triangle. lol. Good stuff. Now thats classic Horry. I hope he gets one more title since this is his last season. What a great career...
