<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Amar? Stoudemire called the Spurs a dirty team and directed most of his words towards Bruce Bowen and Manu Ginobili. "It was a wide-open play," he said. "I saw the replay and Bruce Bowen came up behind me, measured his feet and kicked me purposely in the back of my Achilles. That was a dirty play. [imgr]http://www.azcentral.com/sports/suns/pics/0510sunscov-autosized258.jpg[/imgr] "I hope the NBA looks into in and takes a look at Bruce Bowen. In Game 1, I told Bruce to calm down because he might get somebody hurt out there. He had a 'don't care' type of attitude. And it showed in Game 2, when he kicked me purposely in my Achilles. I almost came down wrong and he almost caused an injury. He's known for doing that. I just hope the NBA and the commissioner takes a look because it's definitely a dirty play and that's not something we need." Stoudemire said he had told Bowen to "Calm down" in Game 1, because he felt Bowen was playing recklessly. "He was just kind of out of control," Stoudemire said. "I mean, Bruce Bowen's normally under control, but he ran directly into me. I said, 'Man, you're going to get somebody hurt out here. He was like, 'Shut up." I was like, 'Man, I'm just giving you some cautions. You're going to get somebody hurt.' But he wasn't hearing it. . . . Bruce Bowen, who's a two-time champion, should have more class than that." Stoudemire was upset with Ginobili for grabbing his knee while falling. He said Ginobili had kneed him in the crotch earlier this season. </div> http://www.azcentral.com/sports/suns//arti...10amare-ON.html Source: Arizona Republic
I normally defend Bowen when people say hes not a good player. But if he really did do this I think the league should look into this.
How can you say he's not a dirty player? Invalid Video Link Invalid Video Link Invalid Video Link Invalid Video Link
Good post of vids there Merc. When I first read about this I was simply curious. Then I saw the video in question. What followed a was a subtle species of disbelief that this went un-called. After seeing all the related videos I have now succumbed to a cold rage that a worthless hack thug like Bowen is still in uniform. The consistency and longevity of his behavior also clearly indicts the coaching staff.
those two, ginobili and bowen, are the most disliked players in the league within all the players, that is because they are dirty fukin rats, who dont play the game of basketball, their coach is also a fukin rat, he is not a good caoch and never has been, he knows what those two do, and he probably encourages it, spurs are dirty fukin rat bastardz and its about time someone came out in a civilized manner to question there behavior. Fuk these two fukers they should be kicked out, all they do is rat it up.
I sort of agree, in a less offensive/vulgar way. What I find upsetting is that Stephen Jackson and Ron Artest for instance are under a Stu Jackon's microscope while other players like Bowen are given Get Out Of Jail Free cards. Where is the justice? Is it because Jackson and Artest are considered "thugs" because of how they speak and dress? While Bowen is eloquent and dresses nicely? I don't mind Manu flopping; he injured Barbosa last year during one of his theatrics, but even-so I understand it's part of the game, especially since Vlade taught the the Lakers and Kings and they were so successful at it. I've seen Duncan flop, I've seen Shaq flop (though the refs usually don't believe a 160 pound Iverson could run over the 350 pound Diesel ), flops and dirty plays aren't the same thing (unless Manu purposely flopped to injure LB, which I don't think he did).

<div class="quote_poster">SP23 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Artest and Jackson get into trouble because of their off-court life, Bowen doesn't get into trouble with the law.</div> So because Stephen Jackson fired a gun he gets fined everytime he argues with refs and Bowen doesn't get in trouble with the law so he can break player's ankles? Artest, Jackson, 'Sheed and a number of other players can't talk to refs without getting a T and a fine. Even Kobe was suspended for throwing elbows, how is kicking somebody's foot out from under them not as dangerous? I don't know what method they use to penalize players, but it's never the same and seems random. This is the reason David Stern and Bud Selig are boo'd while Paul Tagliabue and now Roger Goodell are praised. The NFL is run correctly with reasons behind everything, they fix the problems in the sport. Stern and Selig sit idly by until their hand is force and then they come up with a worse idea.
This is especially hard to swallow considering the precedents set with the Kobe Bryant suspensions after video review this season. Kobe gets suspended and Bruce Bowen gets away scott-free? Something is wrong here.

It's the rules

I mean really, that kind of continued effort to threaten other players with serious injury as a pathetic attempt at defensive pressure.. that's a ban from the league offense in my opinion.

I think messing with a man's money (especially a huge chunk of it) will do more than giving him a day off. Plus I don't want any excuses for this series for either team, I don't want Bowen to injure Amare and then the Suns lose and us cry that with Amare we'd have won, I don't want Bowen suspended and the Spurs lose and have them claim they'd have won if Bowen were allowed to play.

First of all thats the worse grammar that I've seen in awhile, can ya try to keep it readable? But just to let you know I stopped reading your post when you said Pop is not a good coach.
Classy move of Bowens with the intentional knee to Nash. When will the NBA start punishing this jerk? How many intentional injuries to other players will it take?
I am a Bruce Bowen fan, and I defend him all the time. Today, I am pissed off at him. Dude, you don't swing your knee like that on friggin Steve Nash. That's a bad move, Bruce. You're my boy, and I love how hard you play, but that was absolutely bush-league.

The guy is a pure defender, but I really think he is that dirty player that can take it too far. I can`t see Bowen being a dirty player though...
You just contradicted yourself there pal ^. Bowen is scum IMO, and its rediculous that he hasn't received any infractions yet.
