<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Drew Gooden's reaction to LeBron James' place on the 2007 All-NBA Team summed up the entire team. "Wow," Gooden said. "I'm shocked." In voting by a 129-member panel of writers and broadcasters, James was named to the All-NBA second team on Thursday. James, a first-teamer last year, saw his numbers drop slightly compared with last season (27.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 6.0 assists this season, 31.4, 7.0 and 6.6 last year). But he guided the Cavaliers to their second straight 50-win season, finished fourth in scoring, 11th in steals (1.6 per game ) and 15th in assists. The All-NBA first team consisted of forwards Dirk Nowitzki (Dallas) and Tim Duncan (San Antonio), center Amare Stoudemire (Phoenix) and guards Steve Nash (Phoenix) and Kobe Bryant (Los Angeles). James received 64 first-place votes and 494 total points in the voting for forward, well behind Nowitzki (125, 634) and Duncan (94, 573). Coach Mike Brown, citing James' three consecutive years of at least 27 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds, was disappointed. "Only one other player [Oscar Robertson] in history had done it three years in a row," Brown said. "We won 50 games and we have a decent team. I don't understand, but I'm a different guy." James downplayed the voting. "We're in the playoffs," James said. "We won 50 games and Coach does deserve a little more respect [Brown did not receive any votes for coach of the year]. But there's a lot of teams with a lot of guys on the first team and second and third team and all defensive team and they're out of the playoffs." </div> Source: Cleveland Plains Dealer
although those "all teams" are a joke a most of the time, Lebron, kobe, and wade should have automatic spots reserved for them for the remainder of their careers on the all NBA first team.
Wade didn't deserve to be First team this year. I thought Lebron would have gotten a first spot as well. G - Nash G - Kobe F - Lebron F - Dirk C - Duncan
I would've put him in for Amare (and moved Duncan to C, Nowitzki to PF). But he can't really complain after coasting through the first half of the season.

Fans votes don't really mean much. The only thing that means anything and holds any value are stats, wins, dealing with injury, and all the spectacular moments within the games that make the NBA what it is.
