<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Ben Wallace made himself the center of attention Thursday when he entered the Bulls' locker room 14 minutes later than the team deadline for players to report of 90 minutes before games. Wallace walked into the locker room and past general manager John Paxson at 6:44 p.m. After changing into his uniform, Wallace walked by coach Scott Skiles outside the locker room and headed to the United Center court for warmups. Asked if he was disappointed, Skiles said: ''It's disappointing to me if it's an exhibition game in October. So I don't put any more emphasis on this game than any other one. Other than it's obviously the biggest game of the year. But all the games are the same. It's something that I can't ... be distracted by personally. I have to get myself ready for the game.'' Players are fined for being late, and Skiles, who indicated he did not know why Wallace was late, said the team rule would be enforced. Wallace didn't take questions from local media before the game. He ran past reporters after his pregame shooting and said: ''Talk to you after the game.'' Asked about being late during a pregame ESPN interview, he said: ''Traffic.'' Traffic historically has played a role in Bulls players being late, as many of them live near the Berto Center in Deerfield. That's one reason the team makes downtown hotel rooms available on game days. Asked if he expected to be fined, Wallace said: ''I don't know. They take care of their business, and I take care of mine.''</div> Source: Chicago Sun Times
This is really not a big deal to me, its a reasonable excuse, and whats 14 minutes? We have bigger things to worry about right now. Edit: Skiles said he won't be levying any fines on him because it was his first late of the year, and he believed his excuse was a legit one. The Bulls also run a fine system ranging from 1 to 5 lates.

Chicago's suburbs are even worse these days with traffic especially on LaGrange (45). Don't even get me started on the Dan Ryan and then what with all the construction work going on so many people that usually don't take the commute hog the seats on the Metra from the norms like myself. On the way home that's even worse because after being on my feet for up to seven hours straight I have to stand up on another hour train ride back home. Makes getting into and out of the city a pain in the ass every damn time. At least the best pizza place in the suburbs in located close to the station I get off at so I can relax there and grab something to eat. 23MJordan23 knows what I'm on about and can back me up on that opinion. Sanfratello's, damn that's good pizza.
