Good news? Are kidding me? When I saw this yesterday I was PO. Yao got MORE 1st team votes than Amare and still ended up 2nd. WTF. What has Amare done? He was feed like a baby from Nash.

Amare didn't get as many first team votes probably because most still consider him a power forward. The Nash factor is there too but the fact is Amare had a great season statistically, and he's on a better team. Add that to the fact that Yao only played 48 games and Amare overcame knee surgery to play 82. He deserved it.

Nash does help him but he was a stud before Nash got there as well (as previously stated, I concur that Yao missed way too many games).
