<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">ot only were the Detroit Pistons able to shrug this one off, a couple of them were able to laugh it off.

Richard Hamilton and Antonio McDyess both emitted, a kind of "you gotta be kidding me" laugh, when I asked them in the locker room after Game 4 whether they were now worried about the Chicago Bulls.

"Worried? No. we're going back to our home," McDyess said following Detroit's 102-87 loss. "Why worry? We just feel we let one get away from us. We didn't play with the aggressiveness and intensity that we normally play with, and the whole second half we played like: 'OK, we're down, but we know we can come back.' You can't do that."</div>

If the Bulls have any pride at all this should light a fire under them to take game six in Detroit. Definitely bulletin board material.

The Bulls pride is high whether we lose or not. Making them realize that this isn't a joke is the mission.

It's not classic bulletin-board material, but the Bulls would do well to feed off it. The Pistons aren't trying to be bogus; they're just a veteran team that knows what's going on. They're playoff tested, and they don't perceive the Bulls as a huge threat @ Auburn Hills. That's no shock, even to the Bulls. It'll be a good game, now that the Bulls have won one, but it's not like the Pistons are trying to disrespect the Bulls; in all fairness to both teams, Detroit has been the better team and showed that they can turn it on to deliver the knockout punch. They didn't do it today, but they have the experience, moxie and ability to do it. I don't mean to hate on the Bulls; I was actually hoping they'd take this series to add some more excitement to the East bracket; but both teams know that even though the Bulls played very well and got the win today in crunch time, the Pistons are the more experienced and probably better team, and they know it. You can't hate a team for having confidence when they're coming back home.

That said, I'm crossing my fingers that the Bulls can steal one in Detoit [IMG]

I still think the Pistons are smart enough to pull this series off.

Is it not part of "Detroit Basketball" to admit that you just got out played, and not give an excuse?

Blur your in Penn town so you didnt see the press confreance. he also blamed the refs. The bulls are improving every game and has figured out that zone. Where would the pistons be without zone D? LOL!

I used to admire Detroit (except Rasheed) but now they are just plain arrogant.

and as I said in the game 5 thread Flip is losing his grip.

I agree. this is a team that believes it can coach its self. And at times the pistons worst enemy is their pride. Lets see if the bulls can humble them.

The Pistons are in desperation mode right now, they know that going into Chicago they need to make a statement and put down the young up and coming Eastern giants. Detroit losing this game will put even more pressure and in my opinion if the Bulls win game six they will win game seven as well. Thing that I'm tired of is seeing people come in here like they know a lot about this team when after three years of showing who they are these people are so confused.

The Bulls are streaky and when they go on a slump they sink into their own mess. When they get hot they beat anyone in their path no matter who they are. That's just how this team has always played because their morale is always up and down. When some players shut down others step up at the moments we need them the most. The reason we couldn't go far before is because we didn't have enough players to step up and now we do.

The Pistons are an experienced team that can break their streak, but it is going to take more then a great night of team basketball to break that confidence. The Pistons are obviously a bit tense after the previous two games and they know that if they lose to this Bulls sqaud in this series it will make their entire 06-07 season worthless. That is what seperates both teams the most is that one is here to take it all while the other is here to show off their ability and keep going.

The good thing is the Bulls know they can win 4 in a row against an experienced playoff team (obviously Miami) and Skiles will not let them relax and take it easy because it is in Chicago. Ben Wallace will not let them lose the intensity and desperation, we all know he would love nothing better than to come back from 3 - 0 down AND to knock out Detroit his old team.

BUT Game 6 worries me only because our last two losing series we lost in Game 6.

The Pistons are so spoiled. After they loose in the finals, they are sure there is a terrible mistake in their lineup. Thats why they let go of Ben Wallace. The individual players are fine, but as a team, they think they are too good. They get so spoiled, taking all the opportunities that come around, like Chris Webber. I would have liked to see them fall before the conference semi-finals, but now its another story. I want them to loose in a rematch of the Spurs/Pistons finals. Then they'll tear themselves apart.

When you reach the conference finals the last 5 years, win an NBA title, make two finals appearances why wouldn't you think you are good? newsflash the Pistons are a very successful franchise. Why shouldn't they be cocky? what terrible mistake in their line-up are you on about? because they refused to overpay for an aging center who would kill them cap wise?

Your whole post made zero sense.
