After re-watching it, as Shape said, I feel bad for Diaw. He realized his violation and turned around. I think Amare's suspension is well-deserved. He violated a rule that is well known. You can't justify it with Duncan doing the same thing. Wrong is wrong, no matter if one gets away with it or not. Amare had to be restrained. A prime time player like that needs to have better decision making skills. I still give the Suns a good chance to win, but this suspension could cripple their chances of moving on. Amare's got to be smarter.
this is completely bullshit..the first reaction any player would get when their franchise leader and the guy who is basically the answer for a championship falls down is to go check up on him. The reffs are idiotic and have been completely blind this whole series. The spurs have been playing dirty every-game and not getting calls. I dont understand why the NBA had to suspend Amare and Diaw when Bowen is still playing. Bowen doesnt even deserve to be in the NBA
you guys are giving Horry to much credit. he cant predict the future. he would need a crystal ball to know that Amare and diaw would be suspended.
I really feel bad for the Suns. After such a hard fought win in GM 4, to have one of your biggest weapons taken away for such a minor infraction is ridiculous. Surely the Commissioner could have decided differently, he's the sole decision maker and cannot be overturned. Stern could have done whatever he wanted, as we saw with the 'Melo suspension.
<div class="quote_poster">scorbutic Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">That is what I think is the worst part, the NBA is essentially taking a home game away from Phoenix and giving it to the Spurs. Phoenix will most likely lose this game, they have a hard time beating the Spurs WITH Amare, if SA wins they get to go back home to close out the series. What I really hate about this is: had Amare been in the game, he could've ran up to Horry, got in his face, yelled garbage, probably shoved him a few times and nothing would've happened. But God forbid you stand up and look to see if your star player is okay, you could get a headrush, become very dizzy, and fall into the crowd knocking a fat kid over starting a huge brawl. This wasn't the 90s Knicks rushing into a huge fight, this wasn't Ron Artest running into the stands. It was worse, Amare stood up; he may have even had his jersey untucked, his shorts may have been a centimeter too long, or maybe he had ideas of not wearing a suit while injured on the bench... wait... he may have even been clapping (Baron Davis clapping, not Duncan; when Duncan clapped it was Crawford's fault, when Davis did it in the 1st round it was Dizzle's fault)!! As long as the NBA has their priorities in order P.S.>> I just got a call from Stern, he says I can't go to the Suns game tomorrow, when I watched Horry check Nash I stood up and took a step towards my TV, it makes no difference that I'm 30 miles away, I didn't stay in the immediate couch area. So Amare, Diaw and I are gonna watch the game together, with seatbelts.</div> Quote of the year^^^^^^^^^Halarious!!!
<div class="quote_poster">yodawgsup Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">The suspensions are fair. The rulebook says you can't step out onto the court in the case of an ALTERCATION. Duncan's incident was not yet an altercation (at least you can't prove it was), and he didn't go nearly as far as Stoudemire and Diaw. Sorry.</div> Correct, but the point most people are making is that it is A STUPID RULE.

Did it cost other players and teams their playoffs and championships? Yes."</div> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"It's a shame that this happened," Stern said.
