Just seeing if anyone else picked up the new Linkin Park yet (or if there are even any other fans). I've heard a lot of negative stuff about it because they went away from the rap rock genre (outside of a couple songs). Personally, I think it's really good and dfeinitely a step in a very good direction. Anyone else have it or like it?

I'm even hesitating to give it a listen. I've heard it was very emo, and I steer clear of emo crap.

It's a different sound but it's hardly emo. It just strays mostly away from the rap rock they used to produce. There are still a couple of songs with Shinoda rapping on them, but most of them is Chester singing. Plus, it still has it's heavier songs on it as well. I'd definitely at least give it a listen.

It's mostly crap like all their other releases.

Sasha, did you find any of it listenable? I'm thinking about downloading it just to give it a listen. I never fell into the Linkin Park hype, I've always thought they were kind of annoying.

God, no. I gave it a try because Rick Rubin was producing (and he often has a hit or miss record with production), but it ended up sucking...horribly. Don't do it, download 65daysofstatic new album and witness the best music of the year.
