<div class="quote_poster">Kidd Wrote</div><div class="quote_post"> And this was mostly during his prime, he's pretty much a bum right now.</div> Who also has the latest ring.
<div class="quote_poster">AMS_ice Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Vince is no role player. The problem is that he can't handle being the number 1 guy. He won't fit it with the Heat, simply because he won't accept a secondary role. And he will definitely not play second fiddle to Wade. Although we have seen Cater step behind Kidd during the playoffs, it is only because of the respect he has for Kidd. I wouldn't count on him to do so for another player anytime soon. If Vince does choose to opt out, he will be in a team where he will be the first option.</div> He already has accepted it with the Nets. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting michiganave17:</div><div class="quote_post">I dont hink hes lost a part of his game. hes not as athletic as he used to be but hes atill the most athletic player at the 2.</div> No he's not. He has lost alot of his athleticism. He's not nearly as explosive as he was a few years ago. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kidd:</div><div class="quote_post">And this was mostly during his prime, he's pretty much a bum right now.</div> He's not a bum. Lets not get carried away. Carter isn't a "role" player, but he also isn't a superstar talent. He's still averaging 23, 7, and 6, those are great numbers, but the way he's doing it isn't all that impressive.
<div class="quote_poster">Kidd Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Ok he can go ahead and get another one this year....oh wait.</div> Ignorance.
<div class="quote_poster">Kidd Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">That's funny, if Kidd can't do it, what makes Shaq think he can?</div>Kidd doesn't create double teams, Shaq creates double teams. Shaq can guard man to man most centers very well (Yao Ming and Tim Duncan can beat him later in the game), Kidd cannot switch to center position and guard big men. Kidd can't take the scoring load off Vince, while Shaq and Wade can.
<div class="quote_poster">Kidd Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">And this was mostly during his prime, he's pretty much a bum right now.</div> Which is why the Heat went on a tear when he came back from injury and while Dwyane Wade was out injured? He's nowhere near as effective as he once was, but he is still far from a "bum".
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Vince and Shaq are pretty good friends. </div> Why is it when trade talks come up, the two stars on both teams are suddenly "really good friends"? lol. Anyone else notice that? I mean I don't doubt it I just think its interesting
<div class="quote_poster">Kidd Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I see a huge difference between his prime and what he is today. I use bum to interpret it.</div> He won another ring just last season, so he is still having an impact on the game.
