Seattle Post-Intelligencer: "It's been 12 years since Kurt Rambis sported his horned-rimmed glasses, banged in the paint with burly forwards such as Kevin McHale and had a Forum following that tabbed themselves 'Rambis Youth.' The wildly popular Laker has served as an assistant coach the past five seasons in Los Angeles and the club has granted permission for the former workhorse forward to interview with the Sonics for their vacant coaching position, a Lakers spokesman said."

I love Kurt Rambis and I wish he will become the head coach after Phil Leaves, when Phil Jackson was in the hospital he did a good job filling in and doesnt he coach the preseason Lakers team and coaches during the summer.

I hope he gets the job, he deserves it with the time he has put in . Plus he is truly a good person and a sincere nice guy ...

I know he's seriously considering the Santa Clara job as well ... the man wants to run a team

I also hope he gets the job. I mean, it would be unfair to him if the Lakers held him back just because they might let him take over after Phil, which could be years from now if Phil signs an extension.
