Word around the league is that if Phoenix doesn't make it past San Antonio, then they're going to offer Marion and their two first round picks to Minnesota for Garnett. Artest and Garnett have been the attention of L.A. radio all day today.

Jeanie Buss was talking to Vick the Brick this morning. According to Vick, she mentioned off air that Phil and Kobe are making a strong push for Artest because of his situation...a low risk/high reward one. The Kings aren't going to get much for him. I really do expect that Walton and fillers could get it done.

If this really happens, and KG can co-exist with Amare, and they stay healthy, this team could be one of the best ever assembled in the history of the NBA. I'd be shocked if they didn't win 65+ games with those 3.

Nash, Barbosa, KG, Amare, Diaw is just disgusting to think about. I'd root for their failure, that's just too stacked.

Why would the Wolves even talk to anybody else if the Suns do offer Marion and two first rounders?

Technically, the Suns do not have two first rounders. One of the picks belong to Atlanta, but it is top 3 protected. I guess the only way to sabatoge the trade would be if Atlanta ended up with a top 3 pick. Anyways, would the Wolves accept Lamar Odom + Andrew Bynum + Jordan Farmar + this year's 19th overall pick + this year's high 2nd round pick (Bobcat's pick) + next year's 1st round pick? [IMG]

If the suns got KG, I would cry. Well first id get a Garnett susn jeresy, then id cry. Becuase right there is a tough team. So if horry every decides to knee someone you have to deal with 2 of the scarist PF in the league. And frankly I wouldnt liek to deal with that.

I don't want to sound like a moron, but didn't McHale claim that KG is off limits? Or did he say he's off limits to the Lakers only? I doubt if this happens.

Honestly, if I were the suns, I'd keep Marion. He's a beast in so many categories and still very young. I guess they are going for the small window KG has left to win a championship.

KG, Amare, and Nash. Im speechless.

Oh sweet, lets just throw in Kobe, Phil and some buckets of paint too! We might as well because we'd have already given away half our team at that point anyway. That is waaaay too much to give up for an aging Vet. Now yes I know- it's Garnett, he has a good 4 years of top ball left in him but that's trading the franchises pride and joy, a solid point gaurd, 3 draft picks and our second best player.

We'd have NO depth with that trade.

Shape, you posted this yourself...how can the Suns trade their first round pick to the Wolves (for Garnett) if they've already sold that pick. Obviously thats impossible so I just wanted to point out the contradiction.

They havn't sold the pick, the article says Minnesota will consider it. The Suns also have a first round pick from the Hawks this year (top 3 protected).

Like Bobcats said, nothing has officially been sold. Besides, Phoenix actually has three first round picks in this year's draft (Atlanta's, Cleveland's, & their own).

Lamar Odom is the only player out of the three mentioned that actually had any substantial amount of playing time (Bynum's minutes dimished every single game). Most Garnett trade ideas involve Odom and Bynum, so essentially, we're only adding in Jordan Famar, who is still a couple of years away from reaching potential. We still have the MLE to use, which we can sign a point guard with, plus, we can resign some of our own free agents, like Walton, Williams, and Mihm. It's a price I'm willing to pay for a player like Kevin Garnett. I'm just not sure if Minny would do it...
