NFL Forums is a couple of years old now and I think we have enough regular members to give this a try.... I propose an official NFL Forums Keeper League....I suggest 12-14 "franchises" run on a year to year basis, much like in the NFL....you retain your roster from year to year and we only draft the rookies that enter the league....if you want to quit, you have to "sell" your franchise to someone else, so that it doesnt get neglected(by sell, I just mean give it to someone else, but with the leagues approval of the new owner)....if you finish last, youd have the #1 pick of all the rookies, just like in the real league....Let me know what you guys think and if there would be interest in doing this sort of thing.... PS....my in-laws got me a FF kit for my birthday(nothing you cant find online), but it came with a voucher for a trophy....I was even thinking of doing the Stanley Cup thing with that trophy, where we engrave the yearly winners name on it and pass it around....just something else to think about....

The only way i will do it is if we only use people who have regularly posted for a LONG time.
I'd be interested as an alternate. Its not that I don't enjoy the competition, etc... I like doing the research and am real gung up through the 2nd or 3rd week then lose alot of desire and pretty much mail it in. This site is like my "home" on the 'net and don't see myself going elsewhere for football chat. If it were 8-10 "teams" (12 at the most) then I'd better more optimistic about playing. If I got to keep LT who I drafted last year then I'd want to know where I signed up.
I'll be glad to try it with the forums. I do have some experience with my buddies last year and we are setting it all up again this year. But I think it would be hard to do, with people disappearing, etc.
Obvisouly, if someone disappeared, that team would go to someone new....I cant believe someone would not come back after a bad season if they had the #1 pick....you'd be sitting on Reggie Bush for the next 15 years, and if you dont think he will be that good, you could trade him for some talent....I really like the idea of starting a tradition....I would want to keep the league small and I would want to limit it to those of us that have a track record of posting here for multiple seasons....

I may not have that many posts but if I ran when the times got tough I sure wouldn't be a Packer fan. But I do see the problem
thats a great idea i think, i love keeper leagues i've actually been in an auction baseball keeper league for like four years now its a lot of fun. I'd definatly love to do it.
