Unfortunatelly, this is basketball. Euroleague and for example, Estonian league, they are all the same in Europe. But I really hate Bruce Bowen.
I hope someone just punches him in the face and give him what he deserves. He doesn't care at all that he is endangering player's careers and the worst part is the NBA just keeps on letting him do whatever he wants.
Is Bowen dirtier than Kobe elbowing his defender while he shoots? Or how about Horry punching David Robinson in the nuts so he can get open? Crafty players will try anything that can help them gain an advantage. I also hated Bowen at one point. But I understand he's just trying to help his team win. Don't blame Bowen. Blame the idiot NBA refs. Analysts keep saying they're the best refs in sports. Man, I feel bad for the other sports then. Because these refs are bad.
Man, Spurs have some of the wussiest dirtiest player in the league. They flop, complain about calls, and play dirty. I like how Raja Bell is stepping up to his position in the Suns as the trash-talker. I like Bell now, actually.

Bruce Bowen is a peice of garbage and a disgrace to the league. He constantly tries to put his left foot under the shooters foot so that when the shooter comes down, an injury will occur. I hope the next time he tries it the shooter comes down on Bowen's ankle, causing it to snap and end his dirty career before someone of actual value and importance to the league gets injured.

Just like anyone over the age of 3 can kick another person in the back of their leg. When Bowen is playing good, solid defense, he is alright. He is pretty good at getting steals and staying with his man but I wouldn't call him great because when he is kicking people, tripping people, and trying to hurt others, he is basically saying, "I can't stop this person, I might as well hurt them." In my opinion, that's not what a great defender would do in that situation.
A great defender does whatever he can to stop the opposing player. It's the refs' responsibility to call a foul when there is one. Don't blame Bowen for the stupidity and incompetence of NBA refs.

They are taking a jump shot, what do you want them to do? You can't just tell players not to jump when they are around Bowen. It's funny you mention that though because that's exactly what Bruce is trying to do. Put fear into the mind of the shooter. Even if he doesn't injure you, it's psychological. You think you're going to come down and get hurt so it effects your shot. Also, he wasn't there first. It's not like they are jumping forward and landing on him, he is leaping forward and sticking his feet under them when they are coming straight down. So he wasn't there first and if every other basketball player in the world can play defense without lunging yourself at your opponents feet, you'd think Bowen could as well.

They're all so obvious and blatant too, it honestly makes me wonder whether there's something going on between the league and the Spurs organization.
