I'll put up an official thread soon. The Jazz in recent seasons have been dominated by the Spurs, but this season is different. They're 2-2 head to head. If they Jazz are going to advance, they've got to win on the road. Last time they did that against the Spurs? 1999.

Can't say I'm a big fan of Utah, but I still hope you guys win it.

I do not want to see another Det vs SAS series.

Well, this is a tough challenge for Utah. I doubt they're able to contain Duncan, so is could be a long series if Okur doesn't man up like he did against Yao. Oberto might be able to slow down Boozer, and if he does, game over. Deron Williams needs to show up this whole series, or else Utah has no hope. I have this gut feeling it'll be the Spurs in 5 because Utah just doesn't match up well against the Spurs and Utah just is young. Let's hope AK is still confident, or was he playing Warcraft again while he's been waiting for this series to get over......

I just want to say good luck !! I hope you win. And watch those dirty spurs close. They do cheat and the league helps them. I won't be watching though as Suns fans are going to boycott the rest of the playoffs due to Stern handing over game 5 to the spurs and tilting the series in their favor. So Go Jazz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thx for the support, I did want to play the Suns because I feel like we play the Suns a lot more better. But facing the Spurs isn't all that bad, I think all the games will be close but their leadership is far superior to ours....

With respect to Houston and Golden State, Utah haven't had to pull off any major upsets to get here. If they're going to advance now, they're really going to have to pull of something special. There's several things the Jazz will hope go right for them, but one of the biggest will be Andrei Kirilenko keeping up his play as of late. His season was dissapointing, but with the way he played in the second round it makes the Jazz stronger still. The Jazz are rested, and need to come out firing in game one. If they can steal that game, it puts pressure on the Spurs early in the series.

[IMG] i really don't get why any basketball fan would not want to see a Detroit - San Antonio series. Are you kidding? The level of play on both ends will be phenomenal and it features some of the most competitive guys in the game today. It will be a real dog fight.
the only reason why i think you can say that is because there will be no "new faces" in the finals, but that's no big deal.

For Jazz to win, I expect one guy to step up and that guy is Mehmet Okur! He averaged 17.6 points per game and .384 percent threes during the regular season and in playoffs he's been averaging 13.7 points per game and .317 from the threes. I am expecting big games from Okur.

because the Pistons and the Spurs would be considered by most viewers to be 2 of the most boring teams to watch in the league

You guys are gonna beat the Spurs easy, if only because Jerry Sloan isn't going to put up with Bruce Bowen's crap. This might be the series where we finally see Bowen get knocked around a few times. Boozer guarding Duncan with Kirilenko on the weak side should give him some problems. Manu Ginobili is a threat to implode at any time, and i imagine Matt Harpring will help that along. Jazz in 6.

Why do people see Utah and Pistons boring? I just don't understand, I enjoy watching PG's like Billups and Deron Williams, then defensive presences like Andrei Kirilenko and Tayshaun Prince. Then guys like Sheed and Boozer are fun to watch with the contrasting ways they conduct themselves.....
