New Orleans Saints vs. Tennessee Titans. Saturday August 12 2006. 8:00 e.t. The Coliseum. Nashville, Tenn. <- EDIT FOR ADVERTISING -> This preseason game is much more than the Saints against the Titans ... it's Reggie Bush versus Vince Young. Bush should make an immediate impact on the offensive side of the ball, while Young may require more time before he contributes. New Saints quarterback Drew Brees needs to show that he is fully recovered from his shoulder injury, while new Titans quarterback Billy Volek needs to show he can step up and be a started in the NFL. Sportsbook odds should have Tennessee as a favorite at home. Titans breakdown (updated thru August 2) ? Best pick: LenDale White coming in the second round. Southern California. ? Worst pick: Picking Vince Young third. Texas. ? General Manager Floyd Reese shot down an ESPN report that the Titans were having veteran quarterback Kerry Collins in for a physical and that his signing was imminent. Saints breakdown (updated thru August 2) ? Best pick: Reggie Bush. Southern California. ? Worst pick: Second-round pick Roman Harper. Alabama. ? Backup quarterback Jamie Martin was one of two veterans who did not show up when players reported for training camp on July 27.
This is just a preseason game and nothing more. Betting on football games is stupid. Betting on preseason games is beyond stupid.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DolfanDale)</div><div class='quotemain'>Betting on football games is stupid.</div> I disagree. The last 40 dollars I wagered netted me $117. You have more control IMO over football betting than you do w/ the Stock Market.
Over regular season yes. Preseason games have nothing to do with picking the better team, just who will give a bigger sh%# and leave their starters in
Betting on a pre-season game would be stupid. But I like preseason games for the fact that it gives rookies and backups a chance to prove themselves.
