Why do we need to trade Marbury? No one is interested in him anyway so if we find a suitor we would likely take back a crappy package.

I'd much rather have Marbury than Francis.

Cleveland and Lakers are probably the only teams needing point guard help and have the players to match Starbury's salary. Cleveland could trade Larry Hughes for Marbury.

I just think that he would want minutes ....and Mardy Collins looks good as a rookie player who with more time will develop a nice shot. Not even saying that he is 6'6'' PG. I would trade marbury asap to get some decent pick or even role player like Josh Smith/Randolph who recently had bad experience with ATL.

I liked what I saw out of Mardy Collins, but Marbury is a great fit for this team. Even in the last two months of the season we saw him completely take over games (43 against Dallas, for example) which Mardy Collins can't do. At 30 With an expensive contract, Marbury doesn't even have enough value to obtain a quality pick. Maybe a pick in the 15-25 range, but definitely not a lottery.

You have a point yes, but I would rather start Colilins and get that pick 15-25 because this year's draft is one of the best i've seen. Either way it's a win win sitiuation .... Starting Collins and getting rid of his huge salary.
If we can get our hand on Marco Belinelli he would be a killer on everything! http://www.nbadraft.net/admincp/profiles/marcobelinelli.html

Yall would be better of keeping Marbury and releasing Francis. I thought Steph played well last year. Not only that, but no one would want him at this point.

I think there are teams out there who'd be willing to deal for Marbury, but it'd likely have to be a three team deal. I think that the Rockets might do well to give him a look.
