I didn't hear this but I saw it on another forum. Apparently on Pardon The Interruption they mentioned that Phoenix, Chicago and Minnesota are discussing a three way trade that would involve both Amare Stoudemire and Kevin Garnett. Then I guess on a local radio station in Phoenix (called Gambo and Ash), a trade was reportedly in the works that looks like this:

Phoenix Suns get: Kevin Garnett, Luol Deng and Seflosha.

Chicago Bulls get: Amare and 24th pick.

    Minnesota Timberwolves get:
Ben Wallace, Leandro Barbosa, and Bulls (Knicks) pick.

I'm not sure how valid this is but I figured I'd pass it on. If I hear anything else about it, I'll update this thread.

By the looks of this trade, Phoenix would be trying to win now with Garnett, Nash, and Marion, Chicago would bring in another young piece (and possibly build a dynasty with Amare, Hinrich and Gordon) and Minnesota would accept because it's probably the best deal they could get for Garnett (a great big man, a talented young guard who flourished this season, and a high pick to help rebuild). What do you guys think of this rumor?

    Helllllll no.

    HELLLLLLLLLLLLLL NO.

    Deng isn't going anywhere.

I'm mentally prepared to part with Gordon, but no, Deng's staying.

I think Chicago gets a bit raped in this trade.

You said it, Sefolsha and Deng? Suns would be the favorite for next year IMO

Like I said, I don't know how valid this rumor is but it would sure make things interesting next year.

Also, apparently the radio station that reported this deal has been dead on in the past (for example, the Joe Johnson trade).

The Bulls and Wolves get raped in this deal. Why in the world would the Wolves want Wallace? If they can't win with KG, Wallace sure as hell isn't going to turn the organization around in three years. Then why would they want Barbosa when they have Foye? Two guards under 6'3" in the Western Conference won't get you far. Finally, a number nine selection for KG? I think they would want plenty more compensation then that.

I don't think it's any coincidence a Phoenix radio station has the Suns making out like bandits in this 3 way trade.

No way are the suns getting such a good deal, why would minnesota do that trade, they arent desperate and garnett hasnt even asked to be traded. why would the bulls do this? they arent breaking up a team that KO'd the defending champs! all they need along with the guys theyve got is a low post scorer and they are instant contenders for the chip, and i would say they would be instant favourites aswell.

Even if this specific trade doesn't go down, something could still be in the works if PTI was talking about it.

The Bulls will never depart with Deng or Sefolosha. Deng is a force and bound to become one of the best forwards in the game with Sefolosha showing he could be one of the best defenders in the league with his length and intelligence. Wallace departing as well after the Bulls just signed him to fill up that defensive center hole we had? I don't think so. The Wolves are also getting screwed in that deal as others have mentioned I can't see Garnett going for a low pick in the draft. The only way Garnett is realistically leaving is if he demands a trade and the Wolves pick up Oden or Durant plus two solid players in return.

Hell no to that. Chicago gets raped hard in that trade. They may get Amare, but who cares? They lose the future of their franchise, a pick that could add to that future, the anchor to their defense, and a player in Thabo who's got potential to be a Tayshaun Prince-esque player. Chicago would NEVER do that. Pax is much smarter than that.

Why trade a 24 year old PF for a 31 year old PF past his prime. It's not worth it. But if the Suns got KG, Deng, and Sefolosha, I would cry, because I think the bulls would lose out big time in that trade.

I agree with everyone else Bulls give up too much.

Amare would look sweet in a Chicago uniform, but not for Deng, Thabo, Big Ben and 9th pick. Thabo is my fave bull, he's so athletic, I admit I was upset when we traded Carney, but Paxson knows his stuff.

Phx def gets the best of this deal, Minny evens out I think, while the Bulls are left wondering what the hell...so this would never happen, hopefully.

I really hope this doesn't happen for the sake of all three teams. The Suns are building around Amare for the next 10 years, same goes for Deng in Chicago. Minnesota is going to miss out no matter what trade they do for KG. KG will also never ask for a trade, he's too nice a guy to do that. Plus management has repeatedly said they're not trading him. On the Suns front, if anybody goes this offseason, it's Marion, and I really don't see that happening either. Coach D'Antoni put it well by saying, "How do you get better by trading Marion?"

wow are u serious? that wont happen.....no one would allow suns to make out on that trade...and i would expect twolves to trade KG to the East if they end up trading him...they wouldnt want to have him bite them in the ass a few years from now....and i cant see the bulls parting from deng or gordon....and i cant see why pheonix would give up a young Amare Stoudamire who was amazing this year....if anyone they should let nash go.

Okay, you had me until there. At that point, your argument lost ALL credibility. I would explain why, but I shouldn't have to.

Seems like the Bulls are getting ripped on the trade while the T-Wolves are getiing the best of the trade and the SUNS are getting good players too while Bulls get Amare and 24 pick. I don't think this trade will happen seems to fiction..
