Click on the gallery link in the lower right corner, and look at these gorgeous species. My favorite has to be the Dumbo Octopus and the Marrus Orthocanna.

    Enjoy!

Those are amazing photos. The colors on some of those fish are unreal. There's also a group of fish I wouldn't want to come across if I were swimming.

I always questioned why they spend so much time exploring other planets, when there's a whole other world right beneath us in the deep ocean.

The ocean's freakin scary. You never know what could brush up against your foot when you're swimming.

This is very cool. I seen something just like this (if not the same with a slightly different name) in France last year.

It's just amazing. There are so many creatures on Earth that we have no idea of their existence.

The spookfish is intense, the scaly dragonfish looks like it's from a movie. The dumbo octopus is just awesome.

I used to be really interested in this abysmal deep sea life. I was thinking about a career in it a couple years ago, I think it would be awesome to work with the submersibles and discover new life down there.

Thats why I never go swimming in the Ocean, lol.

Those creatures are amazing though, hard to believe things like this live down there.

Because they are nothing like any land animal, and you feel so powerless in water.

Can you imagine what else is down there? I don't like not knowing things.

Oh, I guess we have different viewpoints then. When I'm in the ocean, I feel like I'm at home. I could stay and explore for hours on end. I grasped that from an early age. No doubt I know my boundaries, but I just think it's so amazing and beautiful in things we don't see every day. It makes me appreciate it every day because I don't see it every day I guess.

Very cool. I thought it was interesting that a lot of the pictures taken were of species that are still unknown. Just shows how much is unaccounted for at the bottom of the oceans.

Some of them were pretty creepy looking. The unidentified anglerfish freaked me out a little bit when the picture loaded.

Considering that its only 15 cm long (6 inches), I wouldn't worry about it very much.

    Unless its really poisonous.
