<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">For whatever reason, Vince Carter did not match his regular season heroics in the playoffs. Now, he may have to live with the consequences, in terms of less money in his next deal, reports Al Iannazzone after talking to league executives, including Rod Thorn. The numbers remain the same--Carter wants nearly $60 million, the Nets want to give him $45 million. The bottom line, though, is what will the market bear and the market is so sure of his worth.</div> Source
He dosn't deserve 60 million, and if he wanted to win he should take 30 mill or less, to make room for better players to come in and help.
I hope he means $60 million for 6 years, haha. Carter should take a $10 million/year contract, allow his team to still be flexible and stop being a dummy, then again, the majority of the players in the league do this, so whatever.
Not exactly the right time to go MIA really was it. He will acccept $50 mil or so and that will be that. He should accept less and use the extra cash to bring in some help before Kidd gets to old to bail them out all the time. Marcus Williams will develop nicley though.
I think he will leave to a team that has money. Like the Bobcats, or Orlando. But Williams, I hope he will develope. NJ is hoping for the next Deron Williams out of Marcus, if Kidd leaves.
