http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?i...e=ESPNHeadlines Guess it's official, but I thought he was restricted. BTW, although I like Rashard I disagree with his agent that he's an 'elite player'.
He's come off an elite season though, and in today's what have you done for me lately NBA, that's all that matters. Orlando will chase hard for him, given Carter is likely to stay in NJ. Had to laugh at Bob Hill pimping himself to the franchise's vacant coaching position too, saying if they hire him they'd have a better chance at Rashard.
This will give Durant or whoever you guys draft more time to develop without Lewis. It will be interesting to see what teams signs him.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"My heart will always be here -- even if I play somewhere else."</div> Well that's reassuring...

Not to minimize what he is, though, I'd love to have his 22-6 back. <div class="quote_poster">Sir Desmond Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Orlando will chase hard for him, given Carter is likely to stay in NJ. Well we've all heard that the FO has said that re-signing Lewis is the number one priority. Do you guys really think he's worth the $15 million per season he's seeking? He had a 2 yr, $25mil option. Like Roland said, I don't think Lew is at the "elite" level yet. He is good though and it would be awesome if Rashard and Durant (if Portland doesn't pick him) could play together and tear it up.
If the Supes get Durant they need to sign Gerald Wallace. I might be one of the only ones who thinks Durant will play PF though.

We can offer him more money than anyone else for more years than anyone else can offer. At this point we can not let All-Star caliber players leave our team for nothing. 6 years 80 million dollars that is significantly back loaded should be enough to keep him here....I hope.
One would have to think that if we got Oden instead of Durant that Lew would be more inclined to stay. Regardless, I think he has to be our top priority regardless of who else is a free agent. Although Gerald Wallace would be nice.
I read on 'Truth and Rumors' that the Knicks really want Rashard - possibly a sign and trade involving Jamal Crawford and Channing Frye Please, no Nate Robinson.
hes going to Portland IMO. Portland will be dealing Randoph this off season which will give them the cap room. Plus they wont have to give any of their good young players good contracts for years to come. Roy Webster Lewis Aldridge Oden LOL west beware
<div class="quote_poster">Roland Hood Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Please, no Nate Robinson.</div> Sacrilege. Blasphemy. Impiety! Jamal Crawford take his ill-timed jump shots elsewhere, though.
Lewis for Randolph Allen plus Zbo wouldnt be bad. since your gonna lose Lewis anyway. might as well get something.
