<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Barely 36 hours removed from the debacle that was the draft lottery, Danny Ainge made one thing clear yesterday morning: The Celtics have moved on. Then he suggested everyone else who saw dreams of Greg Oden or Kevin Durant dashed Tuesday night do the same.

With that in mind, here is what the Celtics will do leading up to the NBA draft June 28.

Starting this year, teams cannot schedule individual workouts until after the predraft camp and player physicals conclude in Orlando, Fla., June 4. The Celtics, with the No. 5 pick, have arranged trips to their Waltham practice facility for some leading prospects.

Ainge confirmed that North Carolina forward Brandan Wright, Florida forward Corey Brewer, Florida forward/center Al Horford, Chinese forward/center Yi Jianlian, Florida forward/center Joakim Noah, Georgetown forward Jeff Green, Kansas forward Julian Wright, and Florida State forward Al Thornton are on the team's list.

The Celtics are focused on players 6 feet 7 inches and taller, and although the team is comfortable with point guards Rajon Rondo (6-1) and Delonte West (6-4), Ainge would not rule out selecting another guard.

"We're just looking at the best talent," said Ainge. "We like the point guards in this draft, but we really like Rajon and Delonte. I do like Mike Conley [Ohio State]. I'm a big fan, but I think we're moving in a different direction unless a trade forces us to look in that direction. We're prepared and know everyone else in the draft and can go another direction."

Although the Celtics were not lucky in the draft lottery, they may discover fortune pursuing trade options.

"I know it gets boring, but we'll take the best player available," said Ainge. "We will take into consideration all the factors, including who's the better player today and who will be better in the future."</div>

I think they shoudl take brewer, or Yi. Then they could have a great team in the future. or al horford. Maybe swing a deal to get brewer and horford. possibly even Noah for the Florida connection.

Isn't it usually not done for a GM with a high pick to discuss with the media specific players he's targeting? I mean, obviously, if Kevin Pritchard says, "I'm taking Oden," no big deal... but I thought GMs were generally supposed to have more craftiness than this.
