You'd have to take into account that Kobe would want to be traded to a team that can contend for a title. I'm not sure how much input he would have into his own trade, but I seriously doubt that he'd want to go to Philly, and I don't think Philly has anything to offer the Lakers either.
If Kobe does get traded i see him going to New Jersey Phili or Chicago. Those teams have key players that will be worth a Kobe trade. Im happy that Kobe finnaly ask for a trade they've lied to his face and waist three season of his bringing in crap like Smush and Kwame. Lakers organization got what they deserved...

The .... indicates a break from the phrase and the start of another phrase, the one that involves Memphis and a young player...not Kobe. Don't post it again. That Lakers lineup looks so pathetic, Shape. God. What would Minny have outside of KG and Kobe...not much.
He won't get traded. It takes time for all the offers and decision making to occur. By the time this has happened, I'm sure that Kobe would have decided to stay a Laker. I think there's light at the end of the tunnel from all this: maybe this Kobe outrage will be a wake up call to the management that they need to make some moves.

Kwame is out, possibly for the season. Luke could be a trade bait, but there is questions about how his skills would fit in another system, and he really isn't that good anyway. Cook is just a slightly overweight PF with a decent shot, but he is unathletic, slow, a poor defender and a chucker, and to top it off, IIRC, his contract is too big. Radman stinks and has a huge contract. He has shown nothing. Bynum might have potential, but really hasn't proven anything, and dealing him wouldn't make much sense right now. Farmar, Turiaf and Evans are probably best left within the organisation, since their trade value isn't too high (and neither is the other guys's). Odom is inconsistent and injured, and his trade value probably isn't that high. That leaves us with Kobe, the only guy who could be traded for good (preferably young) players.
Wow, the Lakers are stuck. I still say they should trade him for Marion and others. There's no way thier going to get a superstar back for him though, it almost never happens, ESPECIALLY not when the consensus 'best player in the league' is involved. This is Kobe at his prime. It would be like trading MJ during 90-93...can you imagine that? What's of equal value?
Well, Marion's contract is about 15 million, and Kobe's is 17,8 or something, so they are pretty close. I'm not sure the Lakers would want Marion though...

I could guarantee you, that if Kobe should be dealt to Philly, that even I would be there cheering for him on a night-to-night basis. Philadelphia is an overlooked potential trade partner because we have a lot to offer. For starters, 3 first-round picks in arguably the deepest draft in years could definitely benefit the Lakers. Everyone on our roster except Iguodala is expendable at this point, and possibily even Iguodala if the right deal presented itself for Kobe. I'm sure Kobe wouldn't mind coming here. He still comes back to his high school in Philly often, and it really just seems like a good fit all around.
