^Indeed it is. I can see where Kobe is coming from here. The management really hasn`t done crap since the Shaq deal and where has that landed them? In mediocrity. Kobe is simply looking ahead and god forbid another Iverson situation plays out in front of him. He wants some serious changes before its too late.
Someone brought up a good point. With all the money we have spent on useless contracts such as Brian Grant, VRad, Vlade and Mckie, it's almost equivalent to the amount we could have paid Shaq. They didn't want to pay 30 million (something I don't disagree with essentially) but what's the point in saying that if you waste just as much on useless players?
didnt kobe tell the lakers the one team that he wants to be traded to? I wonder what team that is. I would say it would have to be clippers or chicago since those were his picks a few years ago. what do you guys think?

But a huge possibility is the Bulls or the Clippers. Which means the Bulls need to part ways with Gordon, Duhon and the number 9 pick, which sounds like a good trade to me. To Detroit, probably Rip or Prince, Flip and some picks. Maybe Delfino.

I'd like to know which teams could actually go out and get Kobe? I have to think that he wouldn't accept a trade to a non-major market team (does he have any type of no-trade clause?), and he wouldn't accept a trade to a team that isn't a contender. Who does that leave who could do it without gutting their team? The Mavericks? I can't see how that would work, with Cuban and all, but they stand as good a chance from a personnel standpoint as anyone, right? The Nets, I guess. Carter and Kristic for Bryant and fillers? The point I'm trying to make is this: he's Kobe freakin' Bryant. There's only so many teams that can realisticly hope to acquire him. So why is he sitting there demanding a trade? If Kupchak can't go out and get a point guard for the stretch run, why does Kobe believe he can pull off a blockbuster trade involving him? I really don't think Kobe is helping himself here. I think he's being a real prick. But as I've been told over the years, pointing out his glaring flaws pretty much just means I'm a 'hater'. Whatever happens, should be an interesting story to follow now that he's made himself the biggest circus in the NBA.

This is an interesting situation. Kobe is upset with the Laker organization for many reasons. One reason was that they said they were not in a rebuilding stage, and then they draft Bynum. Now, with a chance to improve the team now and maybe win now, they refuse to deal Bynum. Apparently, ESPN's Greg Anthony spoke with Kobe and says Kobe will take back his trade demand if the Lakers terminate whoever was responsible for leaking the rumor about the O'Neal departure. He said he is going to call Magic Johnson and try and work things out. I heard he said "I don't want to go anywhere" not that long ago.
LOL the bottom line is if kobe doesnt like the moves the lakers make this off season hes GONE! hes said 2 things during a 24 hour period.
Phil calmed Kobe down, or they say so he did. Kobe then stated he wants to be a Laker for Life. But, the breaking news is still Kobe asking for a trade.

Mavs might be willing to trade anyone but Dirk to get Kobe. Harris, Terry, Howard and a first rounder might be a good enough offer to keep the Mavs in the Kobe sweepstakes.

Kobe won't go to the Mavs. The Lakers will not trade Kobe to a Western conference team. They want young talent from the East. Gordon, Deng picks. To trade Kobe to the West, would be bad for Kobe and for the Lakers. Bad for Kobe becuase the number of times he played in LA, and all the boo's and media attention would hurt the team he was on, while in the East they don't play the Lakers, or maybe just once. Bad for the Lakers, because in a most obvious scenario Kobe would burn the Lakers every night they played each other, so it wouldn't be good. It could turn into if the Lakers make the playoffs, the NJ vs. Toronto series, which might not be the thing Laker fans want.
Trade him! Then we'll finally see how many fake Laker fans there are. The Kobe homers will just root for the team Kobe's on.
