Kobe Bryant officially has stated a trade. Do you guys want Kobe Bryant, i personally like the idea of Kobe coming to Oakland. So who would you offer up for Kobe to make this trade happen if possible? I was debating on getting a Monta Ellis or #24 Kobe Jersey. But if he goes to the Warriors, I might get whatever number Kobe picks. He cant pick 24 or 8 right? Because of Chris Mullin and Monta Ellis.
Considering what he will cost, I want nothing to do with Kobe. We could get a star PF for the same price or possibly cheaper. If it's Baron and filler OK, otherwise, no.
why would we want the most selfish player in basketball? the object is to win....and he is a loser...... now if you are bringing in a circa 2001 shaq with him that he can ride the coattails on .... now you are talking kobe is in the perfect place ...... just where he belongs.... i hope he stays.... itis his own fault... he made his bed.... I would think Atlanta would be in the best position to offer the most for Kobe with their two high first round picks.... and how their roster is set up. Possibly chicago as well...which i know he wants to go to ..... In fact trade Kobe to the East lakers.... that will clear one more spot for j-rich to get to an all star game

Wow, honestly, I didn't see this one coming. I guess somebody really pushed Kobe's button. Anyway... Nelson is a type of coach/GM, who would pull for this type of blockbuster deal, and we can offer something like Richardson/Monta/either Foyle or Harrington for cap purpose. But, if he goes anywhere, Chicago would be a good possibility. They have a lot of young chips to trade, and I seriously doubt that Lakers would want to trade Kobe in West...
Kobe is already saying his first choice is to remain with the Lakers. http://www.am570radio.com/cc-common/podcas...=interviews.xml
I would give up Jrich just because he is not his former self and he plays the same position. I would also give up any body else on this team in combo with Jrich...
Ugh -- sorry but I would not want Kobe on the Warriors. Maybe it's irrational, but that's me. We already have no trouble taking shots! What we need is rebounding and interior toughness, not 35 extra FG attempts per game. On a side note, though, I can actually see Kobe wanting to come here. Isn't it funny that just a few years ago, NOBODY wanted to come here (Nick Van Exel was quoted as saying he would retire if he were traded to GS), and yet now this is probably one of the most exciting teams in the league for players to want to play for.
Kobe to the Warriors!!!!! I would go to every Warriors game if this were to happen. Baron and Kobe, sounds like a championship duo to me.

But it sure would give them alot of ratings and they would be popular as hell.

Kobe is pretty darn selfish, but he's arguably the best prototype shooting guard in the nba. Plus, he can play some small forward with the added muscle and weight. Plus, he's usually good at the foul line. I'd trade any perimeter guy outside of Baron to get him. But hopefully we would get to keep Sjax or we'll have this hole at small forward again. Of course, if we're looking to win a ring, I'd say get a dominant big man if we can ever find that in our lifetimes. Another shooting guard is like what the Magic, Sixers, Celtics, Sonics and now the Lakers went through. They have to build more around their two most important positions to get anywhere (point guard and center). Teams that build around a scoring shooting guard typically don't have the inside and outside games or unselfish playmaking that last throughout the season. Big man is a point blank scorer, a shooting guard has to really work his way to the foul line or split defenders and then take all the heavy contact at the rim. A point guard has to run the offense and be like a quarterback in football. Shaq or Elton Brand is like a body bump away from a layup if the point guards are smart enough to recognize the sealed off position on the defensive post player. And point guards can make themselves into MVPs just by doing what they should be doing: (making everyone around them better) A prototype shooting guard is what we need, but I'm not sure if Kobe Bryant's personality here would fit. He'd clash with Baron and Nelson, I'd bet. We have good chemistry in the lockeroom, I think (so far so good), but Kobe could possibly ruin that.
Also, here is a news link if people are wondering about legitimacy. http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-ex-kobe30...l=la-news-alert http://myespn.go.com/blogs/truehoop/0-24-1...-be-Traded.html If anyone is talking about trade rumors and stuff like that, I bet the Knicks media would go bonkers.

They're good friends, I don't think chemistry would be an issue. Any scoring guard or wing is going to thrive in Nellie's system, so I don't see any issues there. I'm not sure he helps the Warriors get to the next level, ahead of upgrading Al Harrington's position.
shouldnt GS be seeking a mobile big? why trade away the whole team for kobe when your sured up at the 2 with Jackson? would the trade be Jackson, ellis, peitrus and beidrin? for kobe?

I'd imagine something awful for some reason when putting Kobe and Baron together in the lockeroom because of egos. But maybe it wouldn't be so bad because both are incredibly tough to defend with their combo of ballhandling skills, quickness, strength, and superb athleticism and arm length. One could feed the other. Also, we could then say we have the best backcourt in the entire nba! lol. I do that trade. It's a pipedream, but like I said this team needs a prototype two if it can't find a strong power forward or a stronger center than Biedrins.
Well it looks like the Lakers may be getting Jermaine O'Neal. "-- Several NBA officials are convinced the Pacers will trade Jermaine O’Neal to the Lakers for Lamar Odom and Andrew Bynum." http://www.journaltimes.com/nucleus/index.php?itemid=13337 If this happens then I think Kobe stays. I was thinking for a moment that perhaps the Warriors could try to get O'Neal themselves by trading JRich, Monta, POB, and Foyle (we could persuade them that he is a good shot blocker, one of the best in the league; just as they did with Murphy and Dunleavy). I have some doubt that they bite on that. Maybe they would, but I'd still cringe thinking the Warriors will be relying on two often injured stars to lead their team to any type of ultimate success (especially considering how big his contract gets). O'Neal on the Lakers though would be a dangerous lineup. After the lottery and if this trade happens, the Warriors get into a position where they may need to make another big deal or have a big draft to stay in competition for the playoffs next season.
Let's hope if Indiana ever does a blockbuster trade with the Warriors again, they're the type of folks who touch a burning stove to see if it's still hot like the last time. If Jermain O'neil became a Warrior, it would definitely involve moving Beans or Ellis. But I think Beans could be in a way like J.O. just cheaper and not quite the shooter. I know there is always going to be questions about how much can Beans grow into an offensive force over the next three years. I think Beans could be the type to grow a pretty big offensive game. I think he's smart, although a bit overaggressive (only because he has to because he's a weakling against real nba starters to produce consistently) He's got all the drop step and up and under moves down, he just needs a body to bang with. He's got nothing on his bones. He's like Andrei Kirilenko on a diet. A guy as tall as Beans should at least be 260 or 250. He's like 7 feet tall. He should work out until he's at least as strong as Foyle or Dampier was. Or if we want a similar body type, maybe how Pau Gasol or Jeff Foster is so he doesn't sacrifice side-to-side quickness.
