I personally don't think the Lakers would trade him and I'm not sure if Kobe would want to come to Canada, but what realistic scenarios could you think of for us to land him here? Are you willing to part with our current team in order to build around Kobe? I would hate to lose someone like Bargnani, but I'm fine as long as we don't give up BOSH. Can you imagine a Kobe/Bosh duo? Can you imagine Kobe on the East? Can you imagine Kobe with teammates that can CATCH the ball? Wow.
Bargnani/Ford/Rasho/Mo-Pete/future 1st pick/cash for Kobe Raptors: PG - Calderon SG - Kobe SF - Parker PF - Garbo C - Bosh Lakers: PG - TJ Ford SG - Mo Pete SF - Lamar Odom PF - Andrea Bargnani C - Andrew Bynum
I would trade pretty much ANYBODY for Kobe. I would trade Bosh, but if Bosh were to be traded, I'd like to at least retain Bargnani. TJ + Bosh + Mo Pete for Kobe.
Just remember guys, there are Kobe trade threads in every forum now. Even though it is possible maybe, I don't see it happening.
Every team now wants Kobe, they will part ways with anyone. Him to the Raptors would be great. Him and Bosh, amazing Duo. However, I can't see Colangelo parting with Bargnani or Ford at this point. If hey did, that would be fine with me, but in most cases, he will not.
I dunno man ... Quite seriously inserting Kobe means totally blowing up this team, both from a pov of giving the lakers enought talent and finding guys who can play complement Kobe the best. Even if it's a everyone but Bosh Scenario I don't think we have the pieces. I'm sure this line has been printed thousands of times on JBB but Chicago is the team that does the dealing should anything like a Kobe or KG get moved.
You guys are ridiculously over-valuing Kobe. Remember he demanded a trade, so u can try to low ball the Lakers as much as possible. Bargnani/Ford/Rasho/Mo-Pete/future 1st pick/cash for Kobe Thats right out too much. The deal could be done without the first/cash and Ford..

IMO, Kobe will get traded. West won't undermine the man who he admires. I say Kobe goes to the Bulls;Detroit;Suns or Clippers. He wants to win now. Those teams, (well kinda the Clippers) Are so close to winning. The Raptors have nothing to offer IMO, unless they part ways with Bargnani, Parker, Ford, Rasho and future picks. Kobe isn't over price to an extent. He does so much, and any team who gets him, well get a huge boost.

Bargnani is a big chip, as is Ford, MoPete has some value in a sign and trade - and of course is Bosh who would be untouchable, he's far younger than Kobe and you don't trade young big men like him IMO. That said Chicago is the team with the most to trade

Ford, while being a possible chip, will also most likely not be traded. MoPete will not sign and trade becuase he can just go to LA on his own for more money, and he is a guy who can help Kobe to an extent. Bosh, is more untouchable then a used condom. Colangelo wouldn't part ways with him, unless he did something horrible. Anyway, I would never trade Bosh for Kobe, I much rather perfer Bosh now, and in the long run. Bulls have the most bait, and possibly Detriot or even the Celtics, who are a long shot.
If Bosh left, but we could still keep Bargnani/Jose, I'd be down for it. You think Toronto wouldn't be a marquee free-agent attraction if Kobe comes to town?
I rather not, it would really screw our chemistry up. Team chemistry is one of the most important things in team basketball, just look at Team USA.

James, Wade, Carmelo, Arenas, Howard, Bosh. These guys are the main focus on their teams. To trade Bosh now, is the stupidest thing to do. Colangelo wouldn't and that is great. The Raptors are getting into their own. To screw it up with a player who demands the ball way to much, will take away from Bosh. Bosh is surrounded by players that suit him well. They can score when needed, but give him and ball, and know when it is CB4 time. To risk that with something to could go great or up in flames, would be horrible. I say no Kobe to Toronto, because to take away from Bosh and to trade picks and Parker and Ford and whoever, just isn't worth it when the Raptors are starting to become on of the most dominate teams in the East.
Don't think Kobe would want to be here if Bosh wasn't. Bargnani's essentially our Andrew Bynum (albeit a much better version of him). I think we have the pieces to make a trade. Bargnani would have to be the centerpiece and I'm sure the Lakers would love to get him. TJ Ford is overvalued outside Toronto, because they don't get as much time to see his faults and his statistics are pretty good. I think we could put together a pretty good package for Kobe and I wouldn't rule out Colangelo inquiring about him (he pursued him pretty hard when he was the Phoenix GM, if I remember correctly). I'm happy both ways honestly. If we do end up pursuing Kobe it'd be awesome, because he's such an incredible player and brings so much to the table. And I've kind of softened my stance on him as I learned more about what happened with his resigning. On the other hand, I'm such a fan of Bargnani that I wouldn't mind keeping him at all.

Scouts and everybody knows Oden can handle the Center position in the NBA especially with Shaq in the downhill, you get a true center instead of a PF/SF thrown at the Center position cause there's no where else to put him in the starting lineup.
I rather not trade Bargnani for Bryant for a couple of reasons. Bargnani is gunna be good, and the direction the Raptors are going, I hope to see Il Mago in it, and I think it would be best if he where to stay in the picture. Kobe would be a great addition, but to get him I rather give up Ford, Graham, Rasho, Dixon and some future picks then Bargnani. Kobe I think would work well with Bosh, he might understand this is Bosh's team, and take less shots, but put up better numbers across the board. I would love for him to score 30 PPG and still have Bosh score 22.5 PPG. But that might not happen. However, lets say we give up Ford, Graham, MoPete(S&T)Dixon, Rasho and some future picks, I think our line up can look like this PG - Calderon SG - Bryant SF - Parker PF - Bosh C - Bargnani Bench - Garbo, Jackson, and some FA. Looks good to me, but to break up with Il Mago, I dunno if I could do it.
