With both Shaq and Kobe confirming what went down behind the scenes with the whole situation in Kobe's contract year, how come Jerry Buss or Mitch Kupchak never stepped up to the plate and made it known to the media that Kobe didn't drive Shaq out of town? Having to bite that bullet is a big burden, especially in a sports crazy town like L.A.

We've now heard from everyone, including Shaq, that Kobe had nothing to do with Shaq being traded and leaving LA.
The truth finally comes out. This Lakers organization collapsed right in our own eyes. If Kobe got traded, no superstars would want to sign and play for an owner that lies. Man...this is getting worse. An early off-season full of anticipation turns out to be this mess. Buss family needs to sell this franchise! or Kick Jim Buss off the FO, that is only solution.
