<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">He zigged again. Hours after he said he wanted to be traded on Stephen A. Smith’s radio show, Kobe went on Dan Patrick’s radio show, said he’d spoken to Phil Jackson and…actually, he doesn’t want to be traded. Sayeth Kobe: “I don’t want to go anywhere, this is my team. I love it here. I called Phil, man, he and I talked, it was an emotional conversation, but he just said, ‘You know what, Kobe? Let us try to figure this thing out.’ Phil is a guy I lean on a lot.” So the trade talk is off. At least for Kobe. (By the way, from now on I’m calling Kobe “The Maestro” for the way he’s magically conducted the media over the last few days. He’d tell one guy one thing, then a few hours later, after that reporter probably felt he had a great scoop, he’d tell another guy a completely opposite thing. It was masterful. Kobe now becomes The Maestro.) Anyway, what could Phil Jackson have told The Maestro to keep him around? How about this? The Lakers are going to get Jason Kidd. At least, that’s what I’m hearing from someone in the know. Kidd goes to L.A., and Bynum goes to Jersey. Soon. The Bynum Brigade might need to establish an East Rutherford chapter. (And while we’re at it, I hear Vince is going to be heading to Orlando.) Could this all be wrong? Of course. Maybe I’m getting played like the rest of the media was. But I don’t think it’s wrong. If I’m right I’ll remind you about it often. If I’m wrong, I’ll delete this post. So Kobe gets Kidd, Orlando gets Vince, and the Nets get Andrew Bynum and a reduced payroll while they prep for their move to Brooklyn. Just throwing this rumor out there. Discuss…</div> Source LOL. Here we go again.
This is from SLAM, so I don't know how much true it may be. But I could defiantly see Kidd and some others for Bynum and some others. Then we build around the core of Marcus Williams, Josh Boone, and Andre Bynum. I don't know what we would do with Krstic, though. But if Kidd leaves, then I pretty sure Vince will leave also, possibly to Orlando, Charlotte, or the Knicks. I doubt Thorn would do it.
First i heard that Lakers were close for Jermaine O'neal and know Kidd. What did Phil Jackson tell EL MAESTRO.(Cool name)
Too bad... Vecsey has J. O'Neal coming to the Lakers, in a trade that will probably center around Bynum (since he is our only good trade piece). But whatever, we'll see what happens
Seems either Jason Kidd or Jermaine O'neal will be coming to LA both are great All star players. But both send Andrew Bynum to either Indiana or NJ.
Wow Laker fans, imagine if this deal involved Bynum and the Jermaine deal that Vecsey has supposedly broken revolved around Lamar? Kidd Kobe Jermaine

Kidd makes 20 mill, Jermaine makes 20 mill, Kobe makes 19.5 mill. The Lakers would have to send Odom + Farmar + Evans + 1st rounder for Jermaine O'Neal, Then Kwame + Radmanovic + Bynum for Kidd The Lakers would have a total of 5 players left on their roster Kidd Vujajic Kobe Cook Jermaine O'Neal Those 5 make around 64 mill, I think the Luxury tax was 65 mill? I guess hopefully they could resign Luke Walton and Turiaf, and then use the MLE on a SF.

<div class="quote_poster">CLos Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">With a team like that, you don't need a bench lol</div> That's what they said about Kobe, Shaq, Malone, and Payton.
Seems we won't have a bench next year if the trades happens. But who needs it when you have Jermaine , Kidd and Kobe.
<div class="quote_poster">STC Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">That's what they said about Kobe, Shaq, Malone, and Payton.</div> Yeah, but Jermaine, Kidd, and Kobe that seems better than old ass Payton and Malone.
Malone was injured and wasn't 100% if he was 100% the Lakers would of won I'm sure. We would of won in six games.I'm not sure to lose a lot of players for O'neal and Kidd but Kobe will.
<div class="quote_poster">STC Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">That's what they said about Kobe, Shaq, Malone, and Payton.</div> Different situation there.
Although, if Jermaine got injured the team's big man depth would be very very thin. (Cook, and Turiaf if he gets re-signed, and probably a rookie or veteran guy almost out of the league)
