Simple. We offer them Hughes! Hell, if the guy is making 15 million a year, he has to be worth it right!! Not to take anything away from Danny Ferry, I mean....that guy is great at finding talent. How smart of him to select LeBron James! What a genius he is! (AKA...dumbass) Now all he has to do is redeem himself by dumping the following players on other teams:

    Jones
    Marshall
    Pollard
    Newble
    Brown
    Wesley
    Hughes
    Sasha

Oh boy...did I just list 8 players that contributed hardly anything (in some cases nothing.....thank's Cavs player scouts!)

How did they win the ECF again? Mike Brown must be the most inteligent life force in the world! He must know more than Phil Jackson and Flip Saunders combined!

Oh wait....I just remembered, he needs to go too.
Get to work Ferry. That way when I say fast forward to LeBron holding the trophy, there won't be an issues and I won't have to make that statement in the first place, as it will be a given assumption.

Based on that logic, the Bulls would have done better than Detroit (3 - 1 series), Miami (3 - 1 sereis) and equally as good as Cleveland (2 - 2 series).

But did it work out that way? No.

All you do is live on records and stats. You swept the Spurs in the regular season and they down right embarrassed LeBroom and co.

It's not a comparison. It's a fact that Washington lost to Cleveland last year and therefore they would have lost this year even if all Wiz's players were healthy because of the simple fact that Hughes was healthy as well during the begining of the playoffs.

You are the one that needs to stop, because this second half of the discussion can be summed up by one equation.

    Spurs > Cavs > Detroit > Bulls

Your equation is faulted I lostmyluggage. I am sure you can figure out why.
The Cavs lost, The Cavs lost, The Cavs LOST!!! I wanted the Cavs to beat the Spurs, but they lost!

And you with your exaggerated comparisons with Jordan tells me that you watch basketball with an air head..unless Lebron James is on Television...and you know what the Cav's philosophy is "No excuse team".....you are killing that no excuse vibe. No it wasn't because Lebron couldn't drive the lane like he usually does...it was because Lebron didn't have any monster games like game 5 in Detroit. In order for Cavs to beat some team the Spurs, they need Lebron to be in touch with his ENTIRE game, and don't even start with Larry Hughes being out. lmao. You may have been watching basketball for a long time, but your basketball mentality is so "Newbish"....learn about what team chemistry is about, you have bad excuses.

<div class="quote_poster">Moo2K4 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Hmmm....seems like you don't have many GOOD Finals memories of Jordan. So let me refresh. He won three in a row on two straight occasions, single handedly dominating the '90s. He hit the game winner over Byron Russell in game 6 of the '98 Finals. He won 6 Finals MVPs (that's 6 more than LeBron by the way). He never lost a Finals series (oh by the way, LeBron has already beat him to that accomplishment....not that you should want to). Oh, he also didn't too often choke the way LeBron did in the playoff, more often than not he was actually clutch....a word LeBron should figure out how to be. He should also look up what a jumpshot means and potentially add one to his repertoire, cause he doesn't have one and will never be as dominant as Jordan, or hell even Kobe, without one.

And what's your point about Jordan not winning one til his 7th season? LeBrick is going in to season 5 next year and he still doesn't have one. With how good the West is and with some teams out East getting better, it could be a whole lot longer than 7 years before he wins one.</div>

Also to add to that, do you remember when he owned Clifford Robinson and the Blazers in the Finals?? He was shooting 3s left and right. When also against the Lakers he made that nasty layup switching hands in mid air. This guy needs to shut up he doesn't know ****. Stop choking on LeBron's dick like he did in the Finals. You are about to swallow it bro. LeBron>MJ??? I don't think so.

    MJ>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>LeBron anyday of the week

MJ now would have done better than LeBron in the Finals. Quote that!

But since you probably didn't read it, let me reiterate. First, the Bulls and the Pistons each have multiple weapons offensively. The Bulls have Gordon, Hinrich, Deng and Noc they can go to at any time in game while the Pistons have Billups, Wallace, Rip and Prince they can go to to get scoring. At last check, the only offense the Cavs really have is LeBrick, and we saw how fantastic he was in the playoffs.

Secondly, each of them are great defensive teams. Hinrich or Billups are each better defenders than any PG on the Cavs, which means they likely could have done a better job on Parker than the Cavs did. Also, they have this thing called interior defense. Either Wallace would more than likely have a better chance at defending Duncan than Ilgauskus or Gooden, simply because of how much quicker they are than either of them. Both are very good rebounders and Ben Wallace is probably one of the best post defenders in the league. In general, I don't see how either of those teams couldn't have done better than the Cavs, because quite frankly, the Cavs put on the worst display for a Finals team that I've ever seen.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">If it pisses people off that Cleveland won the ECF, then too bad. That's the way it panned out just like it panned out for Dallas. It sure as hell doesn't piss me off that they didn't win the Finals. They had LeBron, excellent defense, and no other great shooters, yet they got that far. All I see is the begining of a dynasty, LeBron perfecting his jump shot this summer because the refs robbed him of driving to the lane, and him closing in on Jordan. I can play shoulda woulda coulda all day. For example, the Spurs wouldn't have beaten Dallas had Dallas not lost in the first round anyways. </div>They had LeBron? Really? I didn't realize he showed up. Last I knew, shooting around 35% wasn't all that good, nor was not hitting a single mid range jumper the entire series. Did I mention his 5+ turnover per game average? I'm sorry, but LeBron might have done more harm than good in the series. His defense was below average as usual. His offense was horrible. If he wasn't making a layup he wasn't scoring. His decision making was equally as horrible as well, as noted by his fantastic 5+ TOPG average. And how can you see the beginning of a dynasty? Unless they make some changes in the offseason to bring in someone who can hit a jumper and also be a good second option for LeBrick, there's no way they're the beginning of a dynasty. The Bulls have a better shot at becoming a dynasty than the Cavs do at the moment, simply because they already have all the pieces in place. Right now, the Cavs are the Lakers of the East. They're a one-man show, and if that one guy is off, they're done. It showed in the Finals. LeBrick was god awful all Finals and they were swept. Unless they bring in at least one more shooter and a better, more reliable second option than Larry Hughes, they won't even get to the ECF next season.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Having an easy route to the ECF is based on your record during the regular season which the Cavs earned. Beating the Pistons was no easy task. And for the record, the Cavs beat the Wiz last year with an injured Hughes, AND the Wiz had Areans, Butler, and Jamison playing. They barely lost to Detroit last year also. Good thing too, because they probably would have beaten the Heat. It's no surprise that they won the ECF this year.</div>The Cavs beat the Wiz last year because Gilbert Arenas was a choke artist. If he makes his FTs in the series, that series could have gone the other way. Also to note, Butler was much better this year than last. And also, if I do remember correctly, the Pistons dominated the 7th game, playing their signature game and shutting down the Cavs completely. And also, how do you know they would have beaten the Heat? Might I ask, but who was going to stop DWade? It surely wouldn't be LeBron, because his defense is nothing to write home about. Larry Hughes was hurt, so that scratches him off. To say the least, no one on your team could have defended him well enough to beat them. And then to top it off you had to worry about Shaq, because despite age, he's still a game changer. And then throw in how good their role players were last year and I don't see how the Cavs were going to beat them.

I know that cleveland got completely destroyed, but people better remember that the spurs are a very very good team. It's not like they suckor anything. They did come out of an extremely stacked west. just thought i'd throw that in there lol

Since getting LeBron James, the Cleveland Cavaliers have gone from one of the worst teams in the NBA to a Finals appearance.

Unfortunately, this is entirely te result of James' maturation, as the supporting cast type layers they had when they drafted him would have made for a better team than what they have now.

Of all the things to explain how great Jordan was, you use those examples of all things!?!?!?!? I actually laughed out loud when I read "nasty layup". I hate to break it to you, but that switch hander is the most overrated move ever. A poll was even started about it and the outcome was obvious.

Um, thats why the equation is Spurs > Cavs > Detroit > Bulls, becaue the Cavs lost to the Spurs, and Detroit and the Bulls LOST, LOST, LOST.

Exactly, and it takes a very very good team thats extremely stacked to beat the Cavs in the first place, and yet I'm hearing people reminise on how well the Bulls and Pistons would have done. Their defense is not as good as Clevelands, and the games would not even have been close. At least the games between Cleveland and the Spurs were somewhat close! I'll be sure to dig up these threads when the Dynasty begins so that when everyone starts jumping on the bandwagon, I'll be quoting everyone that doubted THE KING.

Lol, you totally misunderstood what i was saying. I was just saying that the spurs were still a good team. How were they stacked? They had only one good post player (duncan) and parker and ginobli are second tier stars and a bunch or role players. That isn't stacked at all lol. Cleveland got lucky by being put in the eastern conference and got lucky against a detroit team that was supposed to be crappy after losing big ben wallace and a nets team that were better but choked. Nets were also missing krstic.

I've heard some of the posts in the thread. Yes they did say it was overrated but also said that it was a difficult angle that MJ did it all and since it was in the Finals it had more significance.

    It's overated because:

    1. It wasn't necessary for him to do it inorder to score.
    2. There's alot of people that can do who don't even play college level ball.

Sure it looks sweet, but that move is nothing compared to the baseline dunk over Ewing as he got around 2 Knicks prior to the dunk.

A good team? According to Horry, they are a team that could beat some of the greatest teams ever essembled. You don't sweep Cleveland in the Finals unless you are more than just a "good" team.

Dude Game 3 the Spurs played absolutely horrible on the road and still beat the Cavs. Only 2 of the games were close and even with that Game 4 wasn't really even in doubt in the final 2-3 minutes.

Yeah, but the Cavs played equally horrible as well in game 3, hence the loss.
Bottom line is that entire game 3 was one of the saddest, ugliest vicories in finals history.
