I'm so sick of hearing about this Kobe trade stuff. Who cares about what Kobe is doing...he is done, out of the playoffs...worry about it next year.

As for now, it's all Lebron. Not Wade, not Nash, not Dirk, and certainly not Kobe.

Are the Pistons even a factor? Heh, obviously not.

Game 5 of the 2007 ECF was the biggest utter display of domination that I have ever seen by a single basketball player in a playoff game, ever, period. It's the kind of stuff that Jordan could only DREAM of doing, and that is no strech. What else is left to be said? Every critic that ever doubted should pick there jaw up off the ground right now, and remain silent. If you get paid to be a sports analyst, quit your job. Your not good at it. All you did was doubt and watch Prince cringe when LeBron dunking it down his throat.

The sad thing, is that this is NOTHING compared to what you are about to see LeBron do to the Spurs. I'm not the least bit surprised by this outcome. He is mad. He is hungry. He DOESN'T need a supporting cast. He doesn't even need an intelligent coach. Mike Brown is horrible, and yet it's still OVER! I was never even worried about Detroit, and now I'm not even worried about the Spurs. People made the mistake of doubting his greatness once, don't be that sap that does it again.

The guy can literally take over a game, anytime he wants to. He is doing all this with the worst coach to ever coach the game, and a roster that can do nothing but play defense and watch him score every point from 8 minutes left in the 4th to the end of double overtime.

LeBron could quit basketball today and be considered the greatest basketball player in the world by like 90% of the people on this planet. And he doesn't even need a ring to do it.

Wow, just wow. Let's hear the other 10% comment......

Okay lets SLOW DOWN a second.

But I agree with a lot of what you said. This must be what it was like to see MJ come into his own. However, the Spurs are a better team than the Pistons, so we shall see... but this series is over as far as I'm concerned.

yeah, youre going too far when you say "jordan could only dream of doing." Jordan continually rose to the occasion when it mattered most. This is Lebron's first time doing it. Hopefully it wont be the last.

This was maybe the best game Ive ever seen. Back and forth. The Pistons are so much better, and that is what makes it so incredible. All I have to say is WOW. Its the best playoff performance since MJ's 63 on the road against one of the best teams of all time- the 86 Boston Celtics. Because of the circumstances and how important this game was, this performance tonight may have surpassed it.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING (much better than Kobes 81 against the lowly Raptors) [IMG] - sorry i had to

I've seen Jordan, Hakeem, etc. all play HUGE games and I must say that this performance tonight is just as good as I've seen from one player.....I'm sitting at home wearing my witness shirt (because I AM one) and despited idiotic coaching and lack of offensive support from teammates LeBron "The King" James willed his team to victory......wow....just wow.......question why do we have Billups guarding the best player on the floor one on one on the last possesion????.....not that it would've mattered because the King was taking and making that shot no matter what (like he said in the huddle..Tmac should take notes).......................THE DREAM = Witness...................I'm done for the night.....and the Pistons are done (sorry piston fans).

lol well a playoff game will (and should) always be put over a reg. season game imo...but yeah I saw MJ's last shot, the flu game...Hakeem mollesting Robinson....this is just as good...if not better (as far as a one game performance is concerned)

lol @ lostmyluggage...it's okay though, you guys have to understand that he's young and he's witnessing something special.....although I didn't agree with everything he said as a diehard b-ball fan I understand his excitement....

Well, everything you said might come true one day but you're getting carried away. I'm sure that many people would still consider Tim Duncan to be in LeBron's league given what he may do yet again with a solid but not great roster. LeBron also walked into the Conference Finals this year (Nets/Wizards).

We still don't know how LeBron will play against the Spurs; and if LeBron "doesn't need a ring", neither does Kobe.

I agree that LeBron haters have no reason to claim he is "overrated". LBJ is way too young to be pejoratively judged the way he has been this year.

I agree with most of what you said. Except the MJ part, that was funny. And the greatest player in the world if he quit today part.

But anyways, amazing performance tonight. He literally won this himself.

One amazing performance makes you the best player in the world? I reckon MJ's a 100x best player in the world, Duncan's a 20+x Best Player in the World, Shaq and Kobe are a 20+x best player in the world. Don't get ahead of yourself. You're riding emotion and making ignorant comments (best player in the world by 90% of the people...do 90% of the world population live in Ohio?, the MJ comments).

Was it amazing? Hell yeah, I was astonished. It was right up there with Kobe's 81. The difference? Kobe's was more impressive, but this game had a lot more meaning to it.

Is the series over? Maybe not. They were up 3-2 last year and blew it. The Pistons aren't a team that's going to just die, they're going to put up a fight. LeBron exerted a lot of energy out there, he's not going to get his legs back in just one day. He admitted he was absolutely winded and fatigued, which is in every way understandable.

The Cavs are no match for the Spurs, either. That Spurs team is too damn dominate and mature to let LeBron own them. Bruce Bowen and Robert Horry have shown numerous times they're not afraid to give hard fouls, I expect LeBron to get a couple if the Cavs hold on. Duncan is a beast defensively and is no slouch offensively. I'd take the Spurs in 5.

All I'm saying is don't write the Pistons off, don't think LeBron can keep this pace up, especially against the Spurs, and don't make ignorant statements such as the MJ one. Until the day LeBron is rocking 6 rings and gets his first MVP trophy, he's not in MJ's league.

    Hahahahhahaha, good one!

    You weren't kidding? [IMG]

You've seen one great game from LeBron, and you think he is better than Jordan? I'm calling you out, and saying that you must have never seen Jordan play. The kind of stuff Jordan would only dream of doing? What would that be? Explain, PLEASE.

If the Cavs make it to the finals, I think he will have a bit harder time, especially with the offensive onslaught the Spurs will bring. Their defense will also take it's toll on LeBron and the rest of his team.

I'm not going to break the rules and call you something, but I will question your basketball knowledge. What do you really know about basketball? Because that statement is just... wrong and stupid.

Did I ever see Jordan Play? I saw every playoff game that led to all 6 rings.
Did I ever see him do what LeBron just did? No. Could he have done what LeBron just did if he were in his shoes at that very moment? Hell no! You have to understand that what you just witnessed was an individual player dominating a team of 5 all stars, WITH NO HELP from 8 minutes in the 4th quarter to the end of the double OT, and a coach that is dumber than a box of rocks. He did it all by himself from that point on. Compleley just shitting on the sport. I have never seen an individual single handedly dominate his sport in a single game. I can understand why he holds back. It pisses everyone off, because it's that damn hard being that damn good. I don't understand why your trying to write this off......

The best player in the planent if he were to quit was an exaggeration, yes,
but don't try and deny that what you just witnessed was the greatest performance by any player in any sport ever. And the best part? It's just one of many games to come!

Putting the Jordan comparisons aside this guy has next to no help, thats where i agree with you and that is why i see this as such an amazing performance. His teammates.. well.. they suck. Hughes is a bust, Pavlovics attempts at scoring simply resulted in turnovers/crap shots, Marshall is inconsistent as.. etc etc. I say give this guy ultimate credit.. hes 22!! haha, come on people.. twenty friggin two! don't write him off just yet.. im sure there will be plenty more amazing performances to come and you can compare later on in his career.. but for now.. his work is simply poetry in motion.

Hey man... easy over there... Just like Kobe's 81... LeBron simply caught fire at the right time, and it just so happened that it was a Playoff game... Extraordinary Performance? Yes but GOAT player? No

The Kobe trade happens to be a large deal just because Kobe is one of the the top 3 players in the league. Not it is not all about LeBron. LeBron is good, I like him, but seriously I am sure if LeBron was talking about being traded there would be the same news and hype that Kobe is getting.

Amazing performance by LeBron James last night. This was the most dominating road playoff performance by an individual since Allen Iverson scored 48 points on the road against the Lakers in the 2001 Finals.

Another historical accomplishment, LeBron joins Jordan as the only to players to score 40+ points, dish out 7 assists, and grab 9 rebounds in a playoff game.

What's important now is for Cleveland to not relax and let this tremendous performance and victory interfere with Game 6. You have Detroit on the ropes, you need to go for the knockout blow and not allow them to get momentum again.

LeBron scored the last 25 points for his team last night, that's just phenomenal.

IMO its time for a coaching upgrade for bron and the cavs. its kind of like when colins coached chicago then phil took Mike to the next level. what do you guys think?
Because IMO their offense stinks. And when Lebron learns how to use a screen properly hes really gonna be dangerous. Get some coaches for lebron to get some true moves. he did this with the left to righ cross and the step back J. when he gets some really good moves........ WOW!

I agree and disagree. This all new to Mike Brown aswell, and you have to admit he's handled it very well. He has his team playing defense and he's getting the most out of LeBron's supporting cast on most nights.

LeBron is only now figuring out how to take over and close out games for his team. There's still so many areas he can expand his game, especially developing some back to the basket moves and refining his jumpshot more. He still has a bad habit of shooting off balance and not setting his feet correctly.

What really needs to take place in Cleveland is Larry Hughes needs to start earning that money he's making. LeBron is about to come out of his rookie contract so the Cavs will be capped out. Hughes is the 18th highest paid player this year, he needs to start playing like it.

LeBron was TIIGHT down the stretch. He made it look so easy ... the way he passed up on defenders and rose for dunks.
