Cool idea, however I never have music to listen to based on a certain season. I'm sure there will be others that do this type of thing though.

Really? Music is such an emotionally connected thing for me that things like seasons which influence my emotions definitely effect my taste in music.

I'll post my playlist a bit later (don't have it in front of me on this computer), but it's got a similar vibe to Sasha's.

Just no Justin Timberlake or U2. Got some Jack Johnson and O.A.R. in there though, and of course, RHCP. Although, "My Friends" is always a song I listen to when I'm down. A summer song from them, for me at least, would be more like "Zephyr Song."

Same here, but season changes don't affect my musical interest based on what artists I listen to. However, I recall simple weather changes have allowed me to create a different style of music and emotion. Such as the lyrics and music to my song "Hilltop Orchestra," which was inspired by a thunderstorm among other things.

    Anyway, back to topic.

This doesn't have to do with Summer, but I'll add that my fianc?e thinks of Sigur R?s as something for the winter season. Not because they're from Iceland, but because she discovered them during her time in college in the winter many years ago.

Oh, I've got the Jack Johnson, O.A.R. (Crazy Game of Poker is the shizz), among others on there as well. That list was just abridged. The real one is like a hundred and something songs. I just got one of these bad boys, so I made a huge playlist for it.

One of the best Sublime tracks ever.

I think if you want 'summer music' you don't get any better then having a band named ?t? 67. Translation to Summer '67. Range of songs between indie, 70's rock, light-hearted punk and a good hint of Sublime. I suggest Sasha, Bobcats, VC and Rafy to pick this one up.

BTW, Sasha, I replied to your request in PM.

    Ultimate summertime song...

    Alan Jackson - Chattahoochie

"Way down yonder on the Chattahoochie, it gets hotter than a hoochie coochie." -- Alan Jackson, the only man that dares to talk about ***** in a country song.

I believe the actual title is "Doin' Time".
