After the Jazz were eliminated last Wednesday from the NBA playoffs, point guard Deron Williams said he knew "for a fact" he had teammates who want out of Utah.
There is now ample evidence to make a case that starting small forward and 2004 All-Star Andrei Kirilenko is one of them.
Kirilenko has made details of his unhappiness quite clear in at least two recent interviews with reporters from a Web site in his native Russia, including one conducted — apparently by telephone — shortly after San Antonio knocked Utah out of the Western Conference Finals.</div>

Kirilenko struggled in the past season, but I believe that was more mental as opposed to talent. He gets upset easily, and didn't seem happy with having a lesser role while Williams, Boozer and Okur pretty much ran the Jazz. His trade value is low right now, but there is a large amount of risk with his contract and injury history. Still, Kobe wants changes, and Kirilenko has been an all star.

With our offseason plans, I'd rank him 3rd in the list of people we should target.

    Jermaine
    Billups
    Andrei
    Artest
    Camby

How much does Kirilenko earn in a year? can we offer Vlad or Walton (S & T) for him? LOL

Id rather go for Boozer than him... which mean id rather not put any effort in acquiring him

I don't want Kirilenko at all. The guy's mentally weak, besides the playoffs this season, he was only a shell of his former self. He's not really someone I would want on this team, because I'm not sure what type of play we will be getting night in and night out. Plus, he's paid like a franchise player

lol at Lakers fans wanting Ron I Will Ruin Your Team Artest.... he should be the LAST guy you want. he completely sabotaged the Pacers and they still haven't recovered. His head is not right and he will make the Lakers worse.

And you guys should be praying you get Kirilenko. He is one of the few guys that could actually take you to another level. Kobe said he is focusing on his defensive skills this offseason. With him and AK setting the tone for energy on defense, Lakers would have a real chance to go deep in the playoffs.

Which is exactly why Utah would never trade him to us.

Artest is a risk, but the Lakers have put themselves in a position to have to gamble on someone like Artest. Fortunately, he's not very expensive, and he'll be in a contract year. If Artest doesn't work out, you don't really jeopardize any long term plans.

If we offered Bynum for Ak-47, imagine a lineup for the Jazz, Deron Willams, Carlos Boozer, and Andrew Bynum, if Bynum lives up to his expectations, that is a scary lineup.

I'd love to get AK47. He may be mentally weak right now, but you have to wonder what the Zen Master can do for him [IMG]
