lol @ a13x's readjustment of the play by play. I think that is a good list there Ford11. Any reason you didn't include og15's guy Travis Outlaw?

He is a restricted free agent though, but I highly doubt Colangelo will put an offer toward him, but I think he is a good gritty player. I didn't mean to say i don't like Outlaw, just I put Free Agents, but as a Restricted Free Agent I would go after Outlaw and Pietrus.

I guess we are looking for a SG/SF replacement for Mo Pete. I guess Portland might actually not match offers for him, because they have at SF Martell Webster, and Darius Miles. At SG, Fred Jones and Brandon Roy. While at PF they have Aldridge and Zach Randolph.
I think Anderson Varejao would be a great fit, providing help on the glass, especially at the offensive end. But I believe that he is a restricted free agent.

Outlaw is probably one of the best athletes playing the game today right up with Josh Smith in Atlanta but he can be a very frustrating player. The group of young players the Blazers have + the fact they own the #1 overall selection makes them an interesting team that might be making some moves this off-season. Sergio Rodriguez is another name that comes to mind who impressed me last year in limited minutes - - He would be an intriguing back up pg if we were to trade either Ford or Calderon. IMO Blazers could make a play for Mike Conely jr. which makes either Jack or Sergio expendable. Joel Freeland their first round pick from last year is an athletic player in the mold of a David Lee or Anderson Verajao although not as skilled. He played in the spanish league lastyear so M. Gherardini should have a good scouting report on him. Even A guy like Ime Udoka could be a victim of "too many guys not enough minutes scenario" he plays good defense + shoots the 3 at a clip of %40 could be a valuable role player for the Raptors nextyear. All in it would be interesting to see which blazers are on the market... who knows they may even be interested in Rasho who would be a great pro for Oden to learn from.

Ime Udoka, is a free agent, I forgot to add him. Rasho, would be a great mentor for Oden to an extent. He could teach him a better long range jumper, that Oden could be effective with. However, I don't think Rasho would like to play like 10 minutes a game, he is a winner, and he has the rings, why do you think he makes 8 mill a year? I strongly believe with all this talk, that Colangelo needs to get Gerald Wallace and a Back-up SG like Stevenson, Carroll, Stackhouse and whatever other SG's that where in my list. This is what I strongly believe I would like to see, and what would help the team advance to the next level.

I think Colangelo is going to go after Draft picks and Free Agents. That is what I would do. I would also put offers toward Outlaw, and Pietrus who are restricted. With guys like Carroll and Stackhouse and G.Wallace, why not dive into the bliss of the Free Agent market. I want a SF this off season. I good exciting one who can contribute on both ends, and to me that will always be Gerald Wallace. Who has a Jumper, Blocks, Rebounds, steals and is fun. I want him. Outlaw would be great. Also some guys like McDyess or Murray or Stackhouse. Those guys stand out to me at guys who are willing to contribute.
<div class="quote_poster">Ford_11 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I hope Rafer never visits Toronto. He is one of my least favourite players, not becuase of what he did in Toronto, but just because he isn't, IMO, a very good PG. I'll give a list of Free Agents, The ones think we should pursue: Matt Carroll Gerald Wallace Andres Nocioni Sasha Pavlovic Anderson Varejao Jerry Stackhouse Antonio McDyess Flip Murray Matt Barnes Bonzi Wells Quinton Ross Luke Walton Devin Brown Desmond Mason Jamaal Magloire DeShawn Stevenson All these guys can help our team, without giving up anyone. Trades are different, but there are some quality players in this list, who can really help us.</div> Matt Carroll - pure shooter, no defense Gerald Wallace - you can't just sign a guy for $5 million when your already over the cap Andres Nocioni - bulls will keep him, he's a RESTRICTED free agent Sasha Pavlovic - RESTRICTED FREE AGENT, clevland will most likely sign him, if not he would be a good pickup Anderson Varejao - clevland's energy guy, RESTRICTED FREE AGENT Jerry Stackhouse - raps don't have 9 mill kicking around Antonio McDyess - getting to the end of his career, but a good role player Flip Murray - doesnt fit into raps offense Matt Barnes - good pickup Bonzi Wells - good pickup, excellent defense Quinton Ross - raps don't need an undersized SF Luke Walton - will ask for a large contract, which the raps can't provide Devin Brown - decent pickup Desmond Mason - doesn't fit on raps squad, can't shoot well, large contract Jamaal Magloire - why? just because he is canadian? Raps already full with big men DeShawn Stevenson - will ask for a decent-large contract, ok pickup SO: the raps have little room for signing free agents, so realistic pickups will be Matt Barnes, Bonzi Wells, Devin Brown, DeShawn Stevenson. expect the team to stay pretty much the same.
Wait, Bonzi Wells would be a good pick up? Are you aware of how big of a nutjob the guy is? I'm not a Magloire advocate, but the Raptors are still getting outrebounded and still need help in the middle although they have improved from last year. Just because you have a lot of big men does not mean that they are all effective.
My Perfect Offseason: Trade Rasho, Bargnani, Bosh, TJ, Joey Graham Bring in: Pass-first pointguard Gregg Popovich Greg Oden Greg Ostertag Cap space PG: Steve Nash SG: Anthony Parker SF: Jorge Garbajosa PF: Greg Oden C: Greg Ostertag Coach: Gregg Popovich
<div class="quote_poster">hustler Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">^ Your sh!tting me Skip.</div> I'm with you. I saw this and thought, no way. This team has no chemistry first of all and Greg Ostertag? Come on Skip. lol. To trade away Bosh, would be like taking away the CN Tower, he is untouchable. He is the reason mainly, why the Raptors are where they are. It would be unreasonable to trade him. Get Oden and Nash, wow, you got some crazy trade stuff. I would love Nash or Oden, but lets keep Bosh in Toronto and Greg O. out.
<div class="quote_poster">og15 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I love the random Greg Ostertag addition</div> He was honestly the last player on my mind for that position. lol.
My perfect off season would be to get Magloire for a cheap price to start until Bargnani's ready to fill in that roll. The addition of both Delfino would make Dixon and Graham expendable. Then I'd pull off that rumored trade of Calderon/Graham for Childress/S.Jones/11thPick and draft Conley. I would let Peterson go to sign with another team to save some cap space then sign Grant Hill. Our roster next year would look something like: Ford/Conley Parker/Childress/Delfino Garbajosa/Hill Bosh/Humphries Magloire/Bargnani

Other then that, it looks good to me. However, what about Rasho, we need to trade him or something for this to work. I say trade Graham/Dixon and Rasho for picks and some fillers and see what we can do in the draft. I think the Calderon/Graham for Childress/Jones/11th pick works well for both teams. I like that trade. But I also like Calderon.
I just learned that we might have gotten Kirilenko before the trade deadline for Peterson and money, so maybe we can get him now? http://www.justbball.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=53

However, I would like to see maybe Graham/S&T Mo Pete/Dixon and some future draft picks for Kirilenko. Could be good trade situation.
