I'm a big AK47 fan, and after hearing he possibly wants out of Utah, I've come up with some possible scenarios for if we were to maybe try and acquire him.

Quote:

Detroit Send:

Rasheed Wallace
6-11 PF from North Carolina
12.3 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 1.7 apg in 32.2 minutes

2007 Draft #57 Pick
0-0 from
No games yet played in 2006/07

Utah Send:

Andrei Kirilenko
6-9 SF from Russia (Foreign)
8.3 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 2.9 apg in 29.3 minutes

<font color=""Red"">Successful Scenario

Due to Detroit and Utah being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Detroit and Utah had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

I'm just toying around with some ideas, but I would really like to see us go after AK47, slot him in at PF and try and trade Sheed somewhere.

I'd love to see Rip Hamilton and Nazr deal, but I doubt Detroit would trade Rip at this point in his career.

Yeah, Detroit simply doesn't have pieces the Jazz need. Tey'd like Rip, I'm sure, but at this point he's the only sure thing you have. If Billups leaves, and Rasheed ages another year... what lineup are you looking at? With Kirilenko (still a gamble after his off year) playing next to a declining Wallace... if you don't have Hamilton, you don't have a guy who'll get the points every night.

LOL a lineup of Prince, Rip and AK will be the skinniest in the league

Yeah, well I would be ok with giving up Rip, thats why I included Brewer in that deal, that way at least we get a young 2 guard in return, I like his upside too. If a deal like that went down though, I'd want to see Sheed moved for a Centre, like Marcus Camby or somthing.

lol, you guys wouldn't mind giving up RIP? tell me that you are drunk. He has stamina like crazy AND he can shoot and keep Detroit alive when Chauncey Billups isn't feeling it.

If anything, you trade Rasheed, he just loses his cool too fast. Good player, but lacks control.

I'd personally rather try going after Marion.

I agree, I'm sure Joe Dumars wouldn't let go of Chauncey. Keep Prince and Rip. Deal Webber, fire Flip and right now I'm not clear about the Rasheed situation.

C - Marcus Camby
PF - Jason Maxiell / Antonio McDyess
SF - Tayshaun Prince
SG - Richard Hamilton
PG - Chauncey Billups

I reckon that would be an ideal 5 for us next season, I'd be happy with that, try and move Sheed for Camby, or maybe get a 3rd team involved too. Then develop the young guys, J-Max & Amir, along with the rookies we'll draft. Fire Flip Saunders too.

I dont understand why Denver would take sheed for Camby. They're trying to unload salaries. Plus, that would leave detroit with almost no offense. With Maxiell and Camby starting it would be like having 2 ben wallaces. That team would be winning all their games in the 60s or low 70s if they win games at all. Detroit definately needs to get younger. Trade for picks and just rebuild and try again. Dumars can do it, he's a great GM.

Tayshawn and AK47 seem like very similar players, not that they can't coexist, but they probably give you the most shot blocking that a player that can play SF can give you.
