I'm not going to pretend to know anything about him, but if he's a disciple of RC Buford I'm all for it. I'm worried that Lenny Wilkens is going to be playing the role of Wally Walker, though.

He's from the best front office in basketball, so I can't say I'm unhappy. Without reading the article in full, does it say we've offered and he's likely to take, or that he's just offered, as I read the other day he'd only leave San Antonio for the right GM job, not just any.

In the PI it said that there are 2 finalists, Presti and Sheppard. However, in the Times Percy Allen says that they are expected to offer the job to Presti today or tomorrow. They'll probably offer Presti the job since Clay Clay has had ties with the Spurs organization.

    Our very own Theo Epstein.

I'm guessing that because of his age Lenny Wilkins may think that he can bully him with decision making. Sounds like he is a great hire but I will reserve judgment until I see what type of personnel moves are on the horizon.

    Presti has been hired:

Yeah apparently Lenny really pissed off Clay with how slow the GM/coach search was going and he went on the radio announcing he was prez before Clay gave him permission.

Sucks about Lenny but to be honest I'm feeling better about Presti making the decisions
