<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">If anything, Bryant's semi-demand for immediate improvement will spur the Lakers to make a deal to obtain O'Neal. One of the many rumors surrounding the Bryant outburst was that the reason he settled down after talking to Jackson was that Jackson told him the team was poised to trade for O'Neal. I spent Thursday morning using ESPN's Trade Machine, a tool that figures up the salary cap numbers and lets you play fantasy GM, and I came up with several scenarios that worked for both sides. There's no reason the Pacers couldn't work a deal that brought them Andrew Bynum, Lamar Odom and the No. 19 draft pick (plus some filler) for O'Neal and Jamaal Tinsley (and some filler). The Lakers desperately want to keep Bryant happy, and the best way they could do that is to trade for O'Neal. The Pacers desperately need to start rebuilding in earnest, and Bynum and the No. 19 pick give them two young pieces to start the process.</div> Source: IndyStar Appears the this beat writer for the Pacers is preparing the Indiana fan base for this deal to go down.
They seem to really want Bynum and that 19th pick they can't wait to have Bynum in there team and we can't wait to have another O'neal in LA.
Sources say that Indiana is in love with Bynum.Well i think Kobe did the outburst on purpose to just to get the front office working.

<div class="quote_poster">YourNewChef Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">It would be funny if JO took or was aloud to take number 34 </div> That would be cool and I guess that everryone who has a Shaq jersey would bring that jersey out of the closet and wear it lol
he would wear number 7 I guess. also i think that lakers will retire shaqs jersey, i remember a bit longer than a year ago i heard some talk about lakers planning to retire 34. anyway why are they in love with bynum? are they? who said they were? hard to beleive seeing as bynum hasnt really proved that he can do anything that would justify an O'Neal trade. also i heard today that miami are thinking of trading for artest aswell. i dont think they would have anybody that the kings would want really so i hope they dont get him because theyve allready got alot of good players on their squad, theyre just a little on the old side, and artest isnt exactly young, but he isnt old either. if we offered luke and someone else, or a pick or cash or something, do you think we could get artest aswell as JO?
^^^^Yeah Miami is also interested in Artest but i just hope Lakers could get him first.IMO if Rambis gets the coaching job i think he won't want Artest so he will want him out and will want Luke for Artest.I think we do have a really good chance of geting both JO and Artest.

I'm sure Rambis knows Artest is a lot better than Luke and if Miami gives Sacramento a reasonable offer, I think Rambis would rather ship Artest to the Eastern Conference instead of having to face him 4 times a year.
That trade is too much to pay for O'neal. Bynum, kwame and radman is more than enough. No Odom, no first rounder. O'neals stats last year were not even as good as Odom's. The Lakers best bet is to use Bynum to get JKidd.
O'Neal has more years left than Kidd. Also, maybe Rambis is on an undercover mission to join Sacramento and trade away Artest for Luke.
