"We started this offseason in the process of looking for a head coach. We targeted two guys, and we actually hired them both in a six-day period of time." - Otis Smith [IMG]

By the way, what decisions is Van Gundy talking about when he says, "and then a history over the last couple years of very good front-office decisions that have given the franchise that flexibility." Did I miss something? What good decisions?

Well yeah but the negatives overshadow the positives in my opinion. We're like the worst run franchise ever. [IMG]

Getting Otis in office, trading for Darko/Arroyo(more so Darko than Mr. Latino Heat himself [IMG]), getting Van Gundy, the freethrow shooting coach, etc.

Though, you are right. There is plenty of negatives. Otis is a pretty good GM, though. The only "wtf" thing he did, was not utilizing Grant Hill's expiring contract.

He said it gave us flexibility, not that it made us king **** of **** mountain. We do have some flexibility: cap room, and trade pieces, and Dwight to lure other players.
