Emily Parr, contestent in Big Brother 8 (UK) has been removed from the house a little over one week into the programme. I know maybe you see it in a rap song. Maybe you and your friends sit there saying it. Emily: I'm friendly with plenty of black people. Nicky: And you call them n****rs? I have made this thread for intelligent discussion based on the event, not for stupid chatter regarding the 'N' word. Your thoughts? I thought that the way in which she said it wasn't too bad. It was immensely stupid, especially with what happened on Celebrity Big Brother over here last year, with some contestants being racist towards Indian actress Shilpa Shetty. I don't believe Emily meant it maliciously, however, she was just being stupid.
I know you wanted an intelligent discussion but it's Big Brother, there is nothing intelligent about it. The fact people STILL watch this trash shows how low humanity really is right now.
Yea dude, they might've kicked her out, but you know they want this crap to go on since it brings in major ratings. I'm not sure, but wasn't the girl who made fun of that Indian girl a repeat contestant? They know that these people have a tendency for being offensive and they put them in situations where that comes out.
Look at the way she apologised, of course she meant what she said, she wasn't trying to be "hip-hop" or "street," its clear that she's used to saying the word and it slipped out her mouth. Also, psychologists said that her body language indicated she was sorry she was being kicked out but not sorry about saying it. Chutney, there was no repeat contestant. The one where they were being offensive to Shilpa Shetty was the Celebrity version of this show. These people in the current one are just normal people from the UK.
What a biotch. She thinks it's ok because that lady said she wasn't offended. When I clicked on this thred, it said Racist Slur Gets Nick....and I could have sworn it was gonna say Nick Carter.
